There’s no single tipper body that suits everyone.

A landscaping truck has different requirements to an asphalt truck. A truck working tight metro sites needs something different to one spending its life around quarries or civil projects.

That’s why we don’t just look at the chassis and bolt a body onto it.

We look at what you carry, where you work and what you need the truck to do, then build the setup around that.

This FUSO for Big West is a little different to our usual builds.

It features a split tray with a 1.5m fixed section up front and a tipping section at the rear, designed around the way they work across landscaping, mesh and concrete.

Custom touches include an in-house fabricated cage, 450-grade wear plate floor and extra protection around the rear lights and number plate.

A good example of why custom matters. Build the truck to suit the job, not the other way around.

The more of the build you can control yourself, the less time you spend waiting on everyone else.

A huge part of what allows us to keep our turnaround times down is our in-house capability.

From processing and fabricating components through to welding, paint and final fit-out, our team handles the major stages of the build right here.

It means better control over quality, better control over the schedule and less mucking around.

That’s how we’re regularly getting trucks built and back out the door in around 3–4 weeks.

At AA Diesel Truck Bodies, our builds are fabricated in-house using specialised machinery, equipment and technology designed for heavy-duty truck body manufacturing.

From overhead mounted ceiling cranes through to advanced welding tools and precision fabrication equipment, our workshop is set up to handle each stage of the build with accuracy, efficiency and control.

But equipment is only one part of the process. Behind every build is a highly trained team that knows how to turn quality materials into truck bodies built for real work.

This Mercedes is a proper custom job.

Built for Anthony Transport, it features 1,500mm high walls cut and pressed in-house, a 5,600mm-long body and more than 16 cubic metres of capacity.

With a 45-tonne towing rating, serious load potential and a Camilleri tarp to finish it off, this is one big setup built to work.

The hydraulics were completed by Truck Hydraulic Solutions before it arrived at our workshop. Now it’s ready for pickup.
