Today's mission: Keeping heavy equipment moving. 💪

It was another productive day in the workshop with two major jobs progressing.

🚜 John Deere 6420 Tractor
The transmission was removed to investigate a range of unusual symptoms, including:

Random engagement of forward gears
No reverse gear
Difficulty selecting transmission ranges
Significant metal contamination found in the transmission filters

Our team is now carrying out a detailed inspection to identify the root cause and determine the required repairs.

🚛 CAT D400E Dump Truck
We're in the final stages of this transmission project. Today, the team:

Charged the front suspension system
Repaired the shift solenoids

Tomorrow we'll complete the final test run before handing the machine back to the customer.

**VDJ LandCruiser Cooling System Repair ✅**

Our team investigated a cooling system fault and identified a failed water pump and faulty thermostat.

Both components were replaced, the cooling system was properly bled, and final operation was verified using a Fluke thermal camera to ensure everything was performing as it should.

Transmission diagnostics done right.

A feed truck from Koojan Downs came into the workshop with an Allison automatic transmission fault.

After carrying out a full diagnostic inspection, we found:
✔️ Transmission filters were heavily blocked
✔️ #5 clutch showed significant wear

Our team reset all fault codes and confirmed the truck was safe to return to work. However, based on our findings, we've recommended scheduling a transmission replacement to prevent further damage and minimise future downtime.
