We often receive commissions that must be keep in secret until the project is completed!
One such commission in May 2024 was for three Cayman Island Cat Boats for a pirate movie being filmed on the Gold Coast, The Bluff!
These small sailing boats were used for Turtling in the Caymans from the early 1900's.
With little time and information available about these boats the task was to research, design, loft and build three boats in one month!
With the need for speed and in also making sure that the boats were built to the high standard of CWB, the Boattisery was born!
Despite these little craft only being used on a film set swimming pool, Jeremy had to take at least one for a sail!
With little ballast and no turtles to keep the ship upright a fun afternoon was had by all and young Sampson drew the long straw!
A fitting end to another big project!
