Round 4 Motorsport Australia Queensland raceway .
This was a one day race meet with qualifying and 3 , 10 lap races today .
Running the Mazda sport sedan for its first race meeting .
Qualifying
I managed to do a 1.12.8 that put us on pole . That was a great start to the day .

Race 1
We lead every lap from start to finish doing a 1.13.5 very happy for this . As this was the longest run the car has had in one stint.
Race 2
Same again leading all the laps getting to another 1.13.5 , I was getting more comfortable in the car .
Race 3
Didn’t go 💯 to plan , after leading the first 6 laps unfortunately we had a tyre go flat .. so that made me have a dnf . Very easy fix .

Day now done got some great testing still a long way to go . To where we need to be but very happy . And getting 3rd overall for the day .

Winton festival of speed, group A/C round 3
I have brought my group A Mustang ex Kevin Clark ,down to Winton for my first time at this track and it didn’t disappoint at all .
Thursday was Practice and got to do 2 sessions.
Friday was qualifying and race 1 .
I qualified with a time of 1.35.4 that was good for p4 really happy .
Race 1
Starting out of p4
finished p4 and had a really good race with Chris Stillwell in his new ford Sierra rs500 . Incar footage to come soon.
Unfortunately I made a driving mistake going over the finish line to get the cheque flag and selected the wrong gear , that has taken us out for the remainder off the weekend . Finger crossed to get it sorted for smp .

Qld historics Sunday wrap up

Race 3 (Glen Seton trophy )

We started out of p2 back to qualifying grid .
We dropped back to p3 on lap one after David Towe (m3 bmw)got passed .
We had a really run and keeping him in sight and right behind was Michael Logiudice (vk grp A)that was keeping me very honest.
Finishing in p3 for the race setting a new pb of a 1.24.5

Race 4

Starting back out of qualifying order ,
After making a little gap on David Towe (m3 w), I ran 2nd for 7 7/8 out of a 8 lap race David made up the gap through the race as his tyres started to come up. Going side by side multiple times he did a great move on me through turn 9 on the last lap . Was a great race being on Winton .

Thank you to all the officials / volunteers for the hard work over the weekend .

Morgan park historics
Day one
We had qualifying first up this morning and the mustang was on song and we managed to put it on p2 with a 1.24.6 that is a pb for me with this car.

Race one
Had a good start , had David Towe (bmw m3) made a good move and moved into p2 the Michael in the group A vk made his way passed down the back just have a lot more power ..
then I had a little moment and had a spin and stalled then the starter motor failed and wasn’t able to restart… 😢 become a spectator for the rest of the race .

Race two
Was a reverse grid race that was of qualifying times . We moved up to p6 , setting 3 rd fastest time , very happy with the results so far .
Two more races tomorrow stay posted for an update .

Queensland raceway today for the open pit lane .
Was the first outing for the Holden Calibra (ex graham smith ) that has been a long term build . It has hit to track today for the first time in a long time .
With that being at the track we took the Mazda for a test on the national track and after some changers from the last test we are going in the right direction and very happy with the result.
