🚗 Back Behind the Wheel! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Chris on successfully completing his OT driving assessment! 👏

Following a stroke, Chris needed to complete an OT driving assessment before returning to the road. He worked with our instructor Christian for a few lessons to make sure he was feeling comfortable, confident, and safe behind the wheel, and was then ready to be assessed.

A big congratulations to Chris, OT Georgia from Active One Health Professional Group Frankston, and of course Billy, ActiveOne’s very important team mascot! 🐶💛

Well done, Chris — we’re so pleased to have been part of your return to driving! 🎉

💛 R U OK? Day — A Little Reminder to Check In

Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder that a simple question can sometimes mean more than we realise.

Our instructor Christian gave the team a very sweet reminder to check in on one another, arranging for these lovely cookies to be delivered to the office… and even making sure there was a vegan cupcake for Marie-Claire! 🧁💚

It was such a thoughtful gesture and a great reminder that looking after each other doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply asking, “Are you OK?”, taking the time to listen, and letting someone know you’re there.

Mental health matters, and so do the small acts of kindness and connection that can make someone's day a little brighter. 💛

Thanks, Christian, for the thoughtful surprise! 😊

🚗 Turning Goals into Success! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Jason on successfully passing his OT driving assessment! 👏🚗

As a TAC claimant, Jason worked with our instructor Jason over a series of lessons, using a spinner k**b to support his driving.

Jason had a few specific areas he wanted to build his confidence in, including turning, and our Jason worked closely with him to develop those skills and help him feel more comfortable behind the wheel.

It was fantastic to see all that work come together on assessment day with a great result! 🙌

Congratulations, Jason — we’re so pleased to have been part of your driving journey! 🎉

We support TAC, WorkCover and NDIS clients with specialised driver training and vehicle modifications across Metro Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

🚗 A Huge Milestone for Nathan! 🎉

A massive congratulations to Nathan, who has successfully passed his local licence assessment with the support of our instructor Christian!

Nathan was absolutely over the moon with his achievement, and rightly so! 😊 He has worked hard throughout his driving journey and, using specialised vehicle modifications, has developed the skills and confidence to achieve this fantastic result.

His new licence will give Nathan the independence to get to the important places he needs to go around his local area - making this milestone about so much more than simply passing an assessment.

It was lovely to celebrate the moment with Nathan and his wife Jess, and we couldn't be prouder of him. Well done, Nathan! 👏🚗

If you or someone you support are working towards driving independence and require specialised vehicle modifications, our experienced team is here to help across Metro Melbourne.

☕ A Thoughtful Surprise! 💙

There's nothing quite like knowing you've made a positive difference in someone's journey.
Our Director and Founder, Gabriel, was recently surprised with this sweet gift from his client, Jeminesa. The mug says it all, and we couldn't agree more! 😊

With more than 30 years of experience supporting people with disability to achieve safe, confident and independent driving, Gabriel has dedicated his career to helping thousands of people reach their driving goals. It's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do.

A heartfelt thank you to Jeminesa for your kindness and generosity. Your thoughtful gift and beautiful words mean so much to our team.

It's a privilege to be part of so many incredible driving journeys. 🚗

🚐 Innovation in Action! 🎉

On Friday, our instructor Christian was part of an exciting assessment day using the Total Ability High Level Van - a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the latest adaptive driving technology available.

Working alongside Paul Crake from Total Ability and OT Driving Assessor Lewis Nagle, the team supported client Luke through the day, resulting in a great outcome! 👏

In this video, Luke is driving using a Mini Wheel for steering and the Joystick to control the accelerator and brake. It's incredible to see how specialised vehicle modifications can create new opportunities for people to achieve driving independence.

We're incredibly grateful to Total Ability for providing access to this remarkable vehicle and for the opportunity to work collaboratively in helping people find the right driving solutions.

Driving independence looks different for everyone, and it's exciting to see innovative technology continuing to expand what's possible. 🚗
