Do you notice unusual squeals from the engine bay- especially under sudden acceleration? This could be a sign that your belts are wearing and in need of replacement. We recommend you check all belts- those rubber bands which connect wheels or pulleys to each other- at least once between services. These hard-working belts are absolutely essential to the functioning of your engine. From power steering to airconditioning and alternator operation- belts harness the power of the engine and use some of that to run a different component. Belts can fray, stretch or snap. Belts which are over-tightened can cause premature wear to bearings, calling for costly repairs later. Even if you don’t drive big distances in between services, the compounds within engine bay belts can deteriorate to the point of failure. Ring to get your car checked and avoid the risk of broken engine bay belts. Head to https://www.icemanradiators.com.au/preventative-maintenance/ and read more about how avoiding car problems is much better than scrambling to resolve them- which poses its own challenges especially roadside with a young family in the car, on a hot day.

Power steering is something we take for granted- however it needs to be in perfect condition in order to do its job as well as have the driver maintain control of the vehicle.
Do you notice any strange sounds- a whining noise when you turn the steering wheel or that it suddenly feels heavy? These are tell-tale signs that a power steering system service is in order.
If problems go unchecked, turning the steering wheel can be extremely difficult and the vehicle won’t be manageable if you need to react quickly.
We check and repair all power steering systems. From pumps, to belts, gears and seals - parts can wear or fail.
Call or email, to have experts check your vehicle today.
