Customer brought in their Mercedes-Benz GL350 to Dan’s Autowerkz with a coolant leak concern after noticing coolant on the ground.

After bringing the vehicle into the workshop we pressure tested the cooling system and confirmed the leak was coming from the lower coolant fl**ge.

We carried out replacement of the faulty coolant fl**ge, refilled the cooling system with fresh coolant, properly bled the system, and pressure tested again to ensure the leak was fully rectified.

Vehicle now holding pressure and operating correctly with no coolant leaks present. Another Mercedes back on the road 👍

🔥 Weapon in the workshop today! 🔥

This EP3 Civic Type R rolled into Dan’s Autowerkz with a serious setup — and a massive whistle blower hanging off the side ready to blow the cobwebs out 💨🚀

The car came in with major torque steer under load. After inspection we found the aftermarket bushes in the front lower control arms were completely worn out, causing excessive movement and instability under power.

To get things back under control we replaced the front lower control arms with brand new units and installed Whiteline extended ball joints to improve geometry and handling.

The result is a much tighter front end and better control when putting the power down. 💪

🔧 Next step: The car will be back soon so we can upgrade the control arm bushes to polyurethane, making the setup even stronger and more responsive.

Stay tuned… this one is going to be wild once it’s fully dialled in. 👀

This Mercedes-Benz B200 came in for its yearly service, and during our diagnostic scan we found a fault code logged for an open circuit related to the engine oil pump control valve.

This valve is responsible for regulating oil pressure between cold and hot engine conditions, helping prevent excessive wear and potential internal engine damage. To ensure long-term reliability, we carried out the repair by replacing the oil pump control solenoid valve and its associated wiring harness, located internally within the engine.

Catching issues early makes all the difference 👊

This Volkswagen Transporter came in for a timing belt and water pump replacement, due by time, along with a DSG transmission service to keep everything running smoothly.

While carrying out the repairs, we also found the rear brake pads were very low, so we went ahead and replaced the rear brake pads to make sure the vehicle was safe and ready for the road.

Staying on top of maintenance prevents bigger issues down the track 👊

🔧🚗 Another job sorted for a good customer 🚗🔧

We had the pleasure of working on this Subaru WRX STI, which came in requiring new wheel bearings after they had become quite loud.

This particular STI is a Japanese import, which meant we ran into a few challenges sourcing the correct parts, as it uses different components to locally delivered models. No stress though — we worked through the differences, sourced the correct parts, and got everything sorted properly.

During the wheel bearing replacement, we also found the threads on the caliper bolts had been damaged. We were able to repair the threads, refit the calipers correctly, and finish the job off with a full brake fluid flush.

Problems solved the right way, no shortcuts 👊

🚨🔧 New Year breakdown? We’ve got you covered 🔧🚨

One of our good customers unfortunately broke down over the New Year break, but luckily we were able to get the vehicle into the workshop and back on the road within a few days.

The vehicle came in with a major engine oil leak, which we diagnosed and repaired promptly. During this process, we also discovered the turbocharger had failed and required replacement — so we got straight onto sorting that as well.

No delays, no shortcuts — just getting the job done properly and getting our customer moving again 👊
