RX8 Cup Enduro - Tom Baird & Manarth Prasad shared the Maise Place Motorsport Rx8 named Dinoco #82, for the endurance event at Sydney Motorsport Park last weekend.

It was a great team effort to keep Dinoco going following Tom finding the limit and grazing a Tyre barrier Friday morning and then Manarth experiencing an engine issue Saturday morning. Resulting in an Engine change and this unfortunately meant Dinoco was a little down on power for the races, but the team still had a great time and were stocked to finish the whole weekend.

An unexpected bonus was the drivers brought home an award for having completing the whole weekend on old used tyres. Yes for those wondering there is a class for those budget minded racers 😀

The whole team were left wanting more, as they know there is much more pace to be found in car and drivers.

Finished all Races ✅
Toms “P” License signed off ✅
New friendships formed ✅
Fun had by all 🐸 🚙

Big thanks to the whole team, especially Maisie and Brian Place for all their support, patience and humour over the weekend.

Great to see these two still at it, the grunt of Rob’s Bridgeport Rx7 out of corners against Bruce’s late breaking and fast cornering Rx8 PP was entertaining.

Old blokes don’t get slower, just wiser 🤣

New Rx7 Race Build Spotlight 🤩

This is one special SA22C, following a 6 year ground up rebuild. Craig Casperez has finished Casper his new IPRA Spec Rx7.

Originally purchased from the retiring racer Mario Calagari, Craig used the WPS 13B BP from Mario’s car. He then embarked on building up a new chassis and no expense was spared building this bespoke Rx7.

It’s an exceptional car with big potential. The whole Brap Motorsport team look forward to many fun days of racing ahead with Craig, Racheal & the whole HES Racing Team.

Awesome to be racing last weekend and so good to see 5 screaming NA Rotaries on track racing together @ Winton Raceway for IPRA Vic Rd 3.

Kane Vereker was back flying after a 12 year layoff, Bruce Henley lifted his game in tricky conditions, the young Bull Josh Perkins in his Skinny 12A showing the old Bulls how it’s done, Craig Casperez debuting his new Rx7 and Rob Baird throwing flames in the Brap Zebra Rx7.

Keep an eye out for a special photo drop of Craig’s fancy new Rx7 to come in a seperate Brap post later this week.
