What an amazing young man, is Ryan McCallum, who we had stay at our park tonight. Walking from Yatala Pies in QLD to Coffs Harbour, raising money for the homeless. This is a serious problem for our generation and he is taking a stand to help. We are so lucky he has chosen Coraki as a place to put on the map. We have had Coraki Hotel pizza's for dinner and had great donations from peops at the hotel. The other day we went for a drive and came across the 'River Emporium' in Woodburn.
What a great shop! If you like vintage goodies, this riverside store is definitely worth a look.
River Emporium is located at the Broadwater end of the Main Street - 81 River Street Woodburn.

I am embarrassed to say that it took me until yesterday to finally visit the Coraki Museum. After our post about Coraki history, which had much interest, I thought I should check it out.

The Museum is housed in the old Woodburn Shire Council Building (built in 1912) and is operated by volunteers who do an amazing job. Opening hours are 10am to 3 pm, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

What an amazing place, you actually could spend a couple of hours there. The rooms are set out into different categories: River History; Family History; War History; Sports and Medical History; and more. Outside there is vintage machinery on display and a shed with old tools, wares and appliances.

I have attached a variety of photos I took but the best thing would be to go and see for yourself.

Come stay at the Coraki Riverside Caravan Park, spend time in our historical town and visit this very interesting museum.

Museum entry fee $3 per person or $5 per family.
