A little different to some of our usual builds. 👌

This Ranger has headed back to Ford with one of our custom chassis mount modules, but without the full internal fit out we often show off.

That's the beauty of building these things from scratch. Not everyone wants or needs the same setup.

There's plenty of open space inside, a fridge tucked away on the passenger side, and a custom swing door and window incorporated into the driver's side.

The white doors against the black finish as always has come up pretty bloody nice too!

A good reminder that custom doesn't always mean adding more. Sometimes it's just about getting exactly what you need.

This one's heading home to the NT. 👌

And there's a fair bit going on inside this one.

Our Darwin customer knew exactly how she wanted to use her tray and canopy, right down to making sure the dog had his own bunk 😂

So we built the fit out around them.

Fridge, pantry, drawers, storage, pull-out bench and cooktop on one side, a full dedicated dog box, and custom EVACOR throughout - including a little Land Cruiser detail that came up pretty bloody good.

She'll be taking this one home and fitting it to their Cruiser herself, so unfortunately, we don't get the satisfaction of seeing it all come together here in the workshop.

After so many years building for Territory vehicles, it's pretty cool that even after moving CCOR to Brisbane we've still got builds making their way back north.

Can't wait to see this one fitted up. 🤙

TRADE ASSISTANT – WE'RE HIRING

Custom Concepts Off Road | Coopers Plains, Brisbane

CCOR is looking for a reliable, hands-on Trade Assistant to join our workshop team.

We specialise in custom aluminium ute trays, canopies and chassis-mounted modules. This role supports our fabricators with production preparation, assembly, fit-out and general workshop tasks.

Please note: This is a Trade Assistant position and does not include aluminium welding or fabrication.

THE ROLE
• Supplier pick-ups and delivery runs
• Cutting aluminium to supplied measurements and cut lists
• Folding components using workshop machinery
• Preparing materials and components for fabricators
• Using hand and power tools
• Fitting components and accessories to trays, canopies and modules
• Assisting with vehicle fit-outs and installations
• General workshop duties including cleaning of workshop

Training is provided for the equipment, processes and tasks required for the TA role.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Current open manual driver's licence – essential
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good practical/mechanical aptitude
• Able to read measurements and follow instructions accurately
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Forklift licence advantageous, but not essential.

Previous workshop, automotive, manufacturing, construction or similar hands-on experience would be advantageous.

Part-time | Coopers Plains, Brisbane
Pay based on skills and relevant experience.

Trusting someone else with the build you've got pictured in your head isn't always easy.

Especially when you're handing over a pretty expensive investement and asking us to start cutting and building. 😅

But some of our best builds come from customers who know what they need, give us the brief, and then trust us to work out the rest.

This one was exactly that.

Plenty of thought, plenty of fabrication and a few ideas worked out along the way, but the finished result speaks for itself. 👌

Sometimes you've just gotta trust the process.

Safe to say this company’s fleet is looking pretty schmick. 👌

Two Rangers, chassis extended by before making the trip down the range to us at Coopers Plains, where we took over for the complete fitouts with two custom CCOR fleet modules built around exactly what these vehicles need to do.

Plenty of usable storage, dedicated internal fitouts, open rear tray space and full ladder racks, both builds kept consistent so they look every bit the fleet when they're parked together.

We reckon work vehicles can be practical and look good.

Pretty satisfying seeing these two finished and heading out together. 👌

Well… we can finally show you what we’ve been doing. 👀

And like we said it's something completely different. 😂

One of our long-time customers brought us this trailer chassis from Off Road Designs with a pretty simple brief, he needed something properly set up for the hard outback work his company does.

What followed was a fair bit of head scratching, measuring, designing and a whole lot of aluminium.

We built the complete body around how they needed to use it with loads of storage, a large enclosed canopy, open rear tray, front storage and plenty of room left inside for them to keep adding and changing things as their needs evolve.

There are a heap of little details tucked into this one too, so have a flick through the photos. 👉

Safe to say we're pretty bloody happy with how our first one turned out.

Now we're just keen to see it covered in red dirt where it belongs. 👌

Now this is how you start a new fleet 👌

Two new extended Rangers, both fitted out with our Fleet Style Modules and just about ready to get to work.

There’s something pretty bloody good about seeing a matching pair finished and sitting side by side.

It’s been taking shape in the workshop for a while now and we’re finally getting VERY close to showing you the whole thing.

Bit of something different through the workshop this week.

Three custom toolboxes built for this Isuzu, with the customer coming to us with a pretty clear idea of exactly how he wanted to use the space.

The result is a mix of storage across the three boxes, with fully adjustable shelving throughout so everything can be set exactly where he needs it.

Nothing overly complicated. Just a really practical setup, built specifically around what this truck is used for.

We do a lot more than trays and canopies around here. 👌
