We are now offering a 3730 kg GVM upgrade on a 200 Series Landcruiser via the installation of Airbag man helper springs in the rear.
This is available in 5 and 7 seat configurations.
This changes the vehicle category to NB1 - Medium Goods Vehicle.
This is not available for 8 seat variants. They need to be reduced to 7 or 5 seats.
7 seaters can remain 7 or reduce to 5.
Front axle = 1700 kg
Rear axle = 2050 kg
Not change in GCM.
This is available pre and post registration.

Thanks everyone for your messages of help and concern for us but we have come though the fires with no damage or injury. We have been overwhelmed with offers of assistance by or friends and customers. Our Engineering office still has no phone coverage or internet so if you are trying to contact us please be patient. We evacuated yesterday for a few hours as a precaution. Awesome work by all the emergency service crews. We hope to be back to business as soon as possible.

There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding side indicators for GVM upgraded vehicles.

The location and type of lights on a vehicle are defined by ADR 13/00.

See Clause 6.5.3 on page 58. When reading this rule it uses the European vehicle categories in which case N2 = NB1 (vehicle with a GVM over 3500 kg and under 12,000 kg).
If you have a close look at the lights on standard Landcruiser you will see European certification marks showing the lamp is only a category 5, not the required category 6. Vehicle are split into good carrying and people carrying. How the category is determined can be found at https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2016C00487
Scroll down to clause 4.5.2 for the calculations to determine the category. As you can see the GVM affects the payload people carrying capacity has an effect.
If you have a look at a standard Landcruiser you will note they are supplied to the market as both NA (light commercial) and MC category (Off road passenger). This is determined by the seating capacity of the vehicle as both have the same GVM. NA and MC have the same requirements for side indicators so its not an issue until the GVM is increased which in turn potentially changes the vehicle category.
The is the reason some GVM upgrade approvals include category six side indicators and some don’t. If the vehicle remains MC category then category six side indicators are not required. NB1 category vehicles will require category six side indicators.

Interesting to see how well the Dodge Ram performed in this test. This test is the US version of our Lane Change Manoeuvre test we have here in Queensland. When assessing a lift over 3" this is the test you have to pass but no only pass it, you have to pass it both fully loaded and unloaded.
