How our last two weeks have been………..
At Coolum Motors, we don’t rely on generic flash files or recycled overseas calibrations. Every vehicle that comes through our workshop is developed using software written and calibrated entirely IN HOUSE. 💻

From torque modelling and boost control strategies to fuel, ignition, lambda and transmission optimisation — every map is built to suit the exact vehicle, hardware combination and intended use.

giving the workshop rig a run down double island point last weekend… weather gods shone on them thankfully.

15+ years tuning in Coolum… not visiting, not “recently relocated” — actually built here.

From Toyotas to a full-blown AMG GTR, we have tuned it and perfected it. That’s what real experience looks like.

Meanwhile, there’s a sudden outbreak of “tuners” lately… interesting how that works. Couple months, a laptop, some borrowed files and suddenly they’re rewriting the rules of performance tuning 😅

Copy-paste maps, recycled info, and confidence doing all the heavy lifting. Looks great on Instagram… right up until the car comes back on a tow truck.

These V6 Amaroks love to work… but they also love to get HOT 🔥

So we stepped in with a proper fix 👇

🔧 Replacement oil filter cap with fittings
❄️ Big 29-row external oil cooler
🛠️ Custom mount, made to suit — no off-the-shelf shortcuts

And the payoff?
👉 Up to 15°C drop in oil temps in the real world

We fitted this 4 inch turbo-back exhaust today on a brand new 2025 3.0L Ranger / 3.0L Amarok, and the results speak for themselves.

This setup is a Manta Exhaust 4” stainless steel with small muffler — designed, built and developed right here in Australia 🇦🇺 to suit our conditions and the new-gen V6 platform.

Another clean install at Coolum Motors 🔧
We’ve just fitted a Polyair fully automatic dual-path airbag system, neatly integrated into the rear toolbox of this rig.
