Tech Bulletin: Troubleshooting Hyundai iLoad D4CB turbocharger failure and replacement.

The popular Hyundai D4CB 2.5L CRDi engine used in iLoad and iMax vans, especially the early, 2008-14 models, is known for unusually high turbo failure rates. The OEM turbocharger itself is not the problem here, rather the lack of regular and thorough maintenance schedule.

From worn out injector seals to blocked oil pick-up strainers, the cumulative effect of poor maintenance eventually leads to a failed turbocharger or, in the worst case scenario an engine failure.
