Teams of six, 23 tonnes of B-Double log truck, a 100m track and a good cause ... it's a great day out! The Fennell Forestry Truck Pull Challenge has raised more than $170,000 for children’s charity Variety SA since it was first held in Mount Gambier a decade ago. The event has captured the hearts and support of the local timber and transport fraternity, bringing them together in the spirit of community and good will. People travel from across the Green Triangle (and even the country and beyond!) to take part, cheer on their mates and help raise a few dollars for Variety.

It's National Forestry Day - a day to celebrate our forest industry and its role in reducing climate change, creating jobs and supporting regional economies.

SA's thriving forestry sector is the lifeblood of many rural communities, supporting 21,000 direct and indirect jobs. Our forests also store 4.64m tonnes of carbon each year, helping reduce emissions and create a healthier world for us all.

There’s just so much to love about our clean and green forest industry and we're proud to be leading from the front, putting new ideas to the test right here in the Green Triangle.

It’s National Forestry Day – a chance to reflect on the contribution made by forest growers, staff, stakeholders and industry Australia-over!

The day is an initiative of the Australian Forest Products Association and state-based advocacy groups, a way to shine the spotlight on the great things being achieved by Australia’s thriving forestry sector.

Fennell Forestry is proud to be a member of an industry that is so vital in the fight against climate change, provides tens of thousands of Aussie jobs and creates essential materials that are sustainable and renewable.

There’s just so much to love about our clean and green forest industry, but there is always more work to be done and we’re happy to be in the driver's sea doing our bit through in-house initiatives such the commissioning of Australia’s first electric log truck!

The Fennell Forestry Truck Pull Challenge will be back in October 2024!

Organising successful events just 12 months apart has been no easy feat for our small team of organisers, and we want to ensure it remains sustainable into the future.

We hope our decision to hold the event ever second year will give us all more time to plan, train hard and raise as much money as possible for charity.

In the meantime, Fennell Forestry is a proud partner of Football South Australia in the Limestone Coast and continues to support a range of local sporting groups, clubs and charities and the great things they are doing in our community.
