COLLIE DRIVERS IMPRESS AT BJM

Over the weekend three of our Collie Racing Driver Association drivers made the over 2,400 kilometre round trip to the Nickol Bay Speedway for the ODH Mechanical and ODH Tyres Brett Johnson Memorial.

Ethan Genev, Paul Joss and Cody Avins all made the trip very worthwhile finishing second, third and fourth respectively finishing behind Derby’s Jake Hoath.

As the new season kicks over, more of our members will be on show this Saturday at Shark Bay Speedway for the Far Western Championship.

COLLIE SPEEDWAY - HOME OF GRASS ROOTS SPEEDWAY

Today the Collie Racing Drivers Association is proud to announce its 2026/2027 Make Smoking History Collie Speedway Season.

Home of the 2027 SSA Modified Sedan and SSA Super Sedan WA Title on the same weekend, Collie's focal point again is our local divisions that continue to come in their masses and support our club and venue.

A DRAW IN THE OVERALL

A year full of ties in points, the 2025/2026 Make Smoking History Collie Speedway created history this season, being the first time ever there was a tie in Seasonal Overall Points.

Unable to be split, Street Stocks Cody Avins and Junior Sedans Jesse Hamon become joint winners of the Seasonal Overall Points!

Finishing a very close runner up, was Nuno Mendes who again was right up the points end of the field for the overall for another season.

We can’t wait to see what is in store for 2026/2027!

AVINS WINS BEST AND FAIREST

Storming away with a big bundle of votes at the start of the season, Street Stock's Cody Avins was crowned the Crowe Family Best and Fairest for the 2025/2026 Speedway Season.

Avins, took the win from Production Sedan Western Australian Champion Kyle Sayer who finished as your Runner-Up and Junior Sedan Jesse Hamon.

MEMBERS ACKNOWLEDGE FOR AMAZING CONTRIBUTION

Continuing on with the awards from our recent Presentation Dinner at the Collie Italian Club. Three of our Club Members were acknowledged for their amazing contribution to the Collie Racing Drivers Association.

Ian Crowe was awarded the Club Person of the Year for his dedication to continuing to help improve the venue every weekend, with his last project, the expansion of the Pit Canteen, being a roaring success.

Speaking of Canteens, Main Canteen Manager Cameron Tanner and Pit Canteen Manager Maxine Bentley were acknowledged by Fuel to Go and Play for their work improving the operations of our canteen, offering healthier options for all at every event we hold.

There may be only three people with awards, but every official, volunteer, and club member needs to be recognised as well. This season was one of our biggest seasons to date, and without everyone's help and dedication, none of this would have been possible.
