This zed runs and rides well.
Shes a little cosmetically challenged but its a good solid bike.
We have had it through the shop and carried out the following work on it.

ENGINE-
The engine has been fully serviced with the following work carried out.
Fresh oil and filter and spark plugs as well as new leads ,coils and caps.
The valve clearances have been done.
The points have been set.
The carbys were removed ,cleaned and reinstalled and tuned.
There were new inlet manifolds and carby to airbox rubbers fitted as well as a new airfilter.
New throttle cables installed.
The engine runs well and starts easy.There is no smoke or cam chain noises etc.

ELECTRICS-
The electrical system was checked and is charging as well as all the electrics are working except high low beam as the switch is broken.
There is a new drycell battery fitted as well as new indicators and stems.

COSMETICS-
There is a new tacho fitted and new face fitted onto the speedo.
There is a new headlight surround fitted.
The front brake has been fitted with new brake pads as well as a new brake mastercylinder.
There is new mirrors and a rear grab rail fitted as well as new Lh and Rh side covers.
The fuel tank was cleaned internally and is in good solid condition.
It has been fitted with a new tap ,fuel lines and filters.

It will need new tyres fitted and there is some corrosion on the metal parts.
Mechanically its good with no swingarm or wheel bearing slop,good chain and sprockets.There is no broken fins or damage to indicate it has ever being laid down or crashed.

It is in ready to ride condition.
ENGINE-
The engine starts and runs very nicely & has been fully serviced.
There are no oil leaks.

FOR SALE – 1977 DUCATI 900SS – FULLY RESTORED ITALIAN MADE ICON
In 1977 the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati launched the Ducati 900SS, a half-faired motorcycle in its third year of production.
Some changes made to the 900SS models included quieter mufflers, a relocated gear shifter, and new footpegs to comply with global legislation.
As for the power figures, the 1977 Ducati 900SS took its muscles from an 864cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine fed by two DellOrto carburettor’s, boasting 80 hp with a peak force at 7,500 rpm.
The bike's engine was coupled to a five-manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch and a final chain drive, spinning the rear wheel to a top speed of 217 kph (135 mph).
The ride was softened by a 38 mm Marzocchi fork on the front and dual side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear.
The stopping power was achieved by two 280 mm discs on the front wheel and a 260 mm disc on the rear wheel.

This superb investment grade example with just 13,231miles from new, is one of just 633 bikes built in 1977 (right foot braking) with any surviving original bikes now becoming very scarce.

This 900SS has undergone an extensive back-to-frame restoration by our experienced team of dedicated mechanics, with every effort made to retain and restore original components.

RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS:-

Frame & Body-

Complete back-to-frame restoration
The bodywork is professionally refinished in high-quality 2-pac paint in the silver & blue Ducati livery.
All original nuts, bolts, fasteners, springs, washers and hardware have been professionally re-zinc plated.
Most of the original chrome items have been professionally re-chromed with the exception of the kick start lever & the rear tail light bracket as these were found to be in nice clean original condition.
The frame and all steel parts were bead blasted & professionally painted in 2-pac paint.
A new windscreen has been fitted.
A new dash surround along with new control cables were fitted.
The seat was professionally retrimmed to original specifications.
Engine-

The engine has been nicely freshened up with a rebore and fitted with new Wiseco piston and rings, Gudgeons and Gaskets.
The bottom end was inspected and found to be in very good condition. It was fitted with new gaskets and the outer cases were then repolished.
The carburettors were vapour blasted, rebuilt and fitted with new velocity stacks.
The cylinder heads were reconditioned with recut valves and seats. New valve stem seals were also fitted.
The original air box’s are not fitted but will be supplied.

Wheels & Suspension-

New chain and sprockets were fitted.
The front forks were rebuilt and fitted with new seals and dust wipes and the lower legs were repainted.
The rear piggy back Marzocchi shocks have been rebuilt and repainted.
New head stem bearings have been fitted.
The original rims were fitted up with the original spokes that were zinc coated and painted to match the original look.
The hubs front and rear have been vapour blasted.
New tyres, new tubes and rim tapes were fitted.

Brakes & Driveline-

The callipers were stripped, bead blasted and then painted in 2-pac paint prior to being fitted up with new seals and brake pads.
New brake hoses are also fitted front and rear.
The front and rear brake master cylinders were also rebuilt.

Electrical & Controls-

New indicators and stems are fitted.
All the electrics have been cleaned and checked ensuring they are all in good working order.
A new dry cell battery has been fitted.
Original switch blocks restored
A new dash surround along with new control cables were fitted.
A correct new old stock horn has been fitted.

Exhaust-

New old stock Conti mufflers were fitted which indeed give it that magic classic old Ducati sound!

The 1974 Kawasaki Z2A 750 is one of the rarest and most desirable classic Kawasakis ever produced.Built exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, the Z2 was developed to comply with Japan's 750cc capacity regulations, which prevented the legendary Z1 900 from being sold locally.

Often referred to as the "Little Brother" to the iconic Z1, the Z2 featured a 746cc DOHC inline-four engine producing an impressive 69 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. Despite its smaller displacement, Kawasaki engineers extensively redesigned the engine with a unique bore and stroke (64mm × 58mm), revised pistons, crankshaft and carburettors to deliver performance remarkably close to its larger sibling.

Capable of a 12.5-second quarter mile and a top speed approaching 200 km/h, the Z2 quickly earned a reputation as one of the fastest motorcycles available in Japan. It proved an instant commercial success, famously outselling its main rival, the Honda CB750, by almost 10%.

For the 1974 model year, the Z2 adopted the stunning Candy Tone Green with Yellow stripes colour scheme made famous by the Z1A, creating one of the most recognisable liveries of the era.

The carbs were cleaned and retuned.
