Caravan Fix are recruiting! We are looking for a qualified Mechanic or Caravan Repair Technician to join our awesome team at our busy Coffs Harbour repair facility.

We are Australia's largest caravan repair network and are partnered with national caravan manufacturers as their warranty service provider. In addition we are contracted to Australia’s leading insurers to provide their customers with quality repairs and customer service.

This all equals consistent work that is not subject to seasonal fluctuations.

The Role:

Are you a qualified mechanic or caravan repairer? We want you to apply your skills to a trade that you may not have considered. As the role is diverse we will provide training where necessary to bolster your skills with caravans.

We are offering industry leading rates and are willing to discuss direct contract terms if that is your preference.

This job is perfect for self motivated individuals that enjoy diversity in their working week and are seeking an employer who values them for the long term.

Duties may include:

-Undertaking repairs and servicing of caravans and RVs
-Strip and re-fit
-Framework and interior repairs
-Aluminium fabrication
-Basic 12v wiring

Selection Criteria:

-Essential Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology OR in RV Service & Repair
-Confident in the servicing of wheels, brakes and bearing and suspension componentry
-Experience or the ability to acquire skills to remove and fit accessories, and re-sheet using materials used on current models such as ally, composite panel and fiberglass
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Eye for detail and quality workmanship
-Ability to follow instruction and safe work processes

We are seeking a seasoned customer service professional to ensure the smooth running of our large, high volume repair facilities. You will provide and promote a strong service culture, responding effectively to customers and supporting the service and repair team.

Operating in alignment with our core values, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, capability to work autonomously with support from a wider national team and the desire and drive to support the growth of this established site. Travel may be required on occasion.

Our contracted insurance partners require that our customer facing staff can provide evidence of having been double vaccinated to protect against Covid.

About the role
• Provide timely customer contact and effective follow through communications
• Book repairs and assist with schedule management
• Actively participate in production meetings
• Liaise with centralised key functions, suppliers and assessors
• Timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of records
• General reception and office management duties

Selection Criteria
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a service-oriented environment. Insurance and/or automotive industry experience highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver professional and efficient service to customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Experience with Microsoft 365, software packages and cloud-based databases
• Experience with claims management databases (I-Body advantageous).
