Had a great week with Hamish on the tools.He joined us as part of Alexandra Hills State High Schools work experience program.Here he is replacing dual batteries on a Land Cruiser.Thank you Hamish for your hard work and enthusiasm .The future is bright for this one.

This 2015 Mini required the drivers side engine mount replaced.The owner had noticed that the vehicle was making strange noises when selecting gears and after test drive and inspection this mount was found to be the fault.
Quite the effort to remove,as seen in photos below but satisfied with the end result.
Mini is now idling,changing gears and running a lot smoother now.

Timing belt intervals on this generation diesel are every 150,000kms so time for a complete timing belt kit installation.

Full service,belt kit and serpentine belt and reset timing belt indicator light,test drive and another one done.

A common issue with late model Hyundai’s is worn steering motor bushes.

This i30 came in with the customer noting a distinct knocking sound when turning the steering wheel,a telltale sign that the bush has perished.

The whole steering column is removed to gain access to the steering drive motor.

Below is what’s left of the old bush beside the new,upgraded steering bush.

Reassemble,refit steering column,test drive and another job done.
