It’s not everyday you find yourself on the cover of a magazine 😊

Yet here we are, honoured to be featured in the current edition of Australasian Paint & Panel magazine - the leading source of content for the Australian autobody and paint shop industry and its workers.

The article shares a glimpse of our B&A beginnings, our progression and site facilities, while going on to discuss the recent installation of three new Lowbake Australia Alphas. These state of the art Australian made spray booths have helped speed up cure times and further streamlined our productivity - two integral aspects in continuing to deliver consistently high standards to our customers.

What a thrill to be bringing this 1970 Ferrari Dino 246 GT back to its former glory with a full rotisserie restoration.

The Dino 246 GT is well known for its groundbreaking design and remains highly sought after due to its limited production numbers, but what makes this one even more special is its living history. It was the first ever Dino to be displayed at the renowned Earls Court Motor Show in London and the third Dino 246 GT built in right hand drive. And equally exciting, it was previously owned by the late magnate Dodi Al Fayed and despite its age, remains in rare original condition.

An exciting history and a unique restoration we can’t wait to share more of soon.

The end of year busyness may be upon us, but there are still so many exciting changes happening behind the scenes, like the installation of our new state of the art spray booth.

With over 25 years of exceptional service from our Italian made Termomeccanica spray booths, we have moved to an Australian made spray booth, manufactured locally in Dandenong North by Lowbake Australia

The booth is already in use and we look forward to sharing the striking transformations coming out of it in the new year.

In 2023, B & A Motor Body Repairs worked in collaboration with Monash High Powered Rocketry (MHPR) to paint the air frame of their high-powered rocket. Project Valkyrie was researched, designed and built by their dedicated student team and went on to compete in both national and international competitions.

Valkyrie launched over America later that year, competing in the 2023 Spaceport America Cup with the team placing 3rd in their category and an astounding 7th place overall out of 159 international teams! The team also went on to win the Sportsmanship Award and came 2nd place in the Modelling and Simulations Award. What an extraordinary outcome for the Monash HPR team and Project Valkyrie… well done!

MHPR have since designed a new high-powered rocket and we are excited to again be working alongside the incredible student team in anticipation of their upcoming launch in 2025.

Road to Finke - Part 1

With more wet weather forecast this weekend, we have your entertainment sorted, all from the comfort of your own home.

From our partners GM Specialty Vehicles and Chevrolet Racing, this documentary takes you on a multi part journey of the production of an off-road race truck destined for the Finke Desert Race.

Finke is an off-road, multi terrain two day race through open desert from Alice Springs to the remote community of Aputula in the Northern Territory. It is a challenge of strength and endurance and one GM Specialty Vehicles have a vision of conquering.

GM Specialty Vehicles engaged the passion and expertise of a group of their employees, who together, were put to the task of building a production off-road truck. The aim was to ensure the build was representative of the new and original Silverado ZR2 but with impressive off-road modifications ready for the race track.

B & A Motor Body Repairs was thrilled to be part of this incredible build as well as featuring in this documentary, having spray painted the interior and custom made roll cage.

Part 1 of this inspiring documentary takes you through the GM vision, modifications, build and launch of the Silverado ZR2 off-road racer. It concludes with test day, featuring driver Craig Lowndes and co-driver Dale Moscatt.

Road to Finke - Episode 1 is a must watch for any motor enthusiast and one we’re honoured to be able to share with you today.
