Finally got a chance to unpack the Troopy and do a photoshoot for our Work & Play DIY Setup Plans 🙃

We know not everyone has a 3rd seat, so we have modified the LHS of the setup plans to suit a 1500mm L drawer, open nook behind passenger seat and full length passenger bed base instead of our shortened version.

**FYI We are still working on the setup plans, and havent got a finished product yet due to a few setbacks, but we will be sure to post an update as soon as they're available!

Introducing our new version of Canvas Bed Protector!

These are now handmade in Gippsland VIC from Sand coloured canvas. Loving the new colour!

We will be keeping small amounts of stock to reduce wait times too 👌🏼

Options available are King Single or Double (full width). All now have 8 Eyelets as standard, with clips to go round your headrests. Able to do other colours by custom request ✨️

After going to all the effort of installing this single Techsafe seat behind our passenger seat.. AND building our nice new 'work on the road' setup around it - we are considering just putting the factory bench seat back in..

Are we mad 🫠?! What would you do?

Reasonings/ponderings:
1. We now have a toddler and the retractable belt is... difficult. So we're ok while she is in her carseat but as soon as she is old enough to use it we reckon she is going to really struggle with it. It also sits quite high on your neck. Both are things we didn't know before installing it.
2. Our Troopy is heavier on the RHS. We suspected as much - but new parabolics have made that point clear 😅. We don't have anything in the cupboards currently and we are still leany-boys. No wonder it nearly rolled that side when we tried to do that sketchy steep arse hill in the Pilbara 🫣
3. We will probably always have our caravan with us for accom or take a tent if we just have the Troopy. No more sleeping inside the Troop. But don't see ourselves camping with just the Troopy for quite a while.
4. Fish (pic 2) just has nowhere to be when we are travelling, and could ride up on the bench seat next to Delilah
5. As we are no longer using just the Troopy by itself for long term travel, we don't really need all our storage nooks.

Please share your thoughts - Should we re-engineer it back to factory and re-do the setup AGAIN 🫠... or just suck it up and leave it as-is 😅

Thowback to that time Kobie used to do custom watercolour Troopy drawings. Hoping to get back into it all one of these days! This scene was from the 2018 TOA Winter Ramble at Coorongooba Campground 🤙 - a commission done for a legend who attended.

We are really looking forward to 's upcoming 'Tony Devos Camp Oven Cookup', held at Sheepyard Flat - Fry's Hut - near Mansfield VIC 15th-17th May. It's a fantastic weekend where everyone chucks a Camp Oven on the fire and we all share in on a massive feast. Hopefully we see some of you legends there!

Here's a squiz at our updated Troopy Gear Aluminium Shelf design in Bare Aluminium 💥

Our middle roof mounting point on our Full Length Shelves is now a bolt on piece. This is to reduce aluminium sheet wastage during manufacturing, and make them slightly more compact when boxed.

Some important updates:
- We are now doing 1 run of stock per year - next drop is anticipated to be around March/April 2027
- We have new paper fitting instructions available on our website, on the 'Fitting Instructions' page
- This run of stock has been completed by our Perth Fabricator & they have done an absolutely brilliant job 👌🏼
- We can now only offer Bare Aluminium shelves. We do have some White and Sandy Taupe stock available, see below:
