Hey guys, long time…….. but I was thinking, Something that people don’t often think about when it comes to riding bikes, especially for track days and racing, and that’s weight. We’ll look at everything on the bike for whether it’s the lightest and/or best performing part for the bike while neglecting the most important component. The RIDER. What’s the saying? 1kg equates to around 1hp?

Many I used to race against back in the day could’ve gained 4-10hp without spending any money on parts or tuning. On top of the performance increase from the weight loss, there’s also the mental aspect. The focus, clarity, reflexes and energy that comes with sorting out your metabolic health, even if you only have a few kegs to lose.

So in looking at how else I could contribute to the bike industry now I’m no longer tuning bikes, it dawned on me. What if the difference in my performance that I got from recalibrating my body’s internal running gear, could be provided for you guys?

We’re having a special evening on the 14th of Nov in Rosebury, where we’ll have the ceo of Simplr Health, presenting on how we achieve the metabolic health recalibration, the performance coaching that comes with it, along with other highly regarded health specialists speaking about a range of topics including a regenerative medicine expert (bike injuries anyone?) on what can be done using your own cells to restore pain free mobility. A little left of field for many perhaps. But worth thinking about all of the above and how any or all of it would make a difference to your riding and quality of life.

Link to secure your spot is in the bio or you can visit .health for more info. See you there.

Had the feeling we got out of the industry too soon. These would’ve been a great addition to the workshop uniform. 😎🤣

Thanks so much Terry, it’s always been great having your support and trust and friendship. I’ll come visit soon. 👍

I am saddened by the news that Trevor Birdman Rogers has sold his dyno and moved on. Trevor was a gifted person who embellished the industry with his depth of knowledge and quiet persistence in a world that would test the patience of a saint. Trevor made up a part of the silent underworld that exists in the motorcycle industry. One of the community that go largely unnoticed by the general public but steadily gain the admiration of their peers. Anyone can don a factory shirt and be admired by the shallow or ignorant but it takes a special person to gain the respect of those "in the know". Take a bow Trevor. You have helped us out on many occasions and have always been our go to guy for dyno work. I hope you enjoy your new path. If this is only a temporary hiatus, let me know of your new whereabouts.

Well, not really sure how or what to say, but after more than 20yrs dyno tuning bikes, we have sold the dyno and are moving on to pursue other things. I’ve met some amazing people, had the privilege of tuning bikes for various top level race teams and riders over the years, many of which have gone on to bsb, wsbk and even motogp. I’ve gotten to work along side the industry’s best in their areas of expertise, had the trust in our work from various bike shops and workshops, ran our own race team, import some of the best bike performance products on the planet, but best of all, is I got to tune so many bikes and it was that grin on a post tune test ride or the email I’d get once they rode home letting me know they’re in love with their bike again that kept me tuning for so long. Thanks for trusting and using Doin’ Bikes for your tuning, I got as much from tuning your bike as you did from riding it. Huge thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way, with any dyno issues, electrical issues, fan supply and maintenance, and tuning guidance and support including Mark from Suncoast Powerhouse Dyno-Tuning, Stuart Wright Nick Oros Darren Perrett Terry and Grant Shock Treatment and Mark at MAS Motorcycles for accomodating me for so many years.

A few pics of the times gone by below. I’ll be available for dyno consulting work time permitting if anyone requires so feel free to contact me if needed. Ride safe, and thanks again.

Results for the MT09 tuned with and using a pcv. Customer took for a quick spin to make sure all was to his liking and came back giggling. “Oh man. Thank you. That’s amazing. What a pleasure to ride now. Wow”. You’re welcome. Glad you enjoy your new ride.

Yamaha MT09 for tuning today. Customer brought to us with pcv already on the bike and we’ve added Woolich Racing to the mix for adjustment of ETV’s, disable some features and set the IAP map which really smooths these light switches out, for throttle transitioning butter like ride-ability.

Don’t see too many of these around anymore. Such an awesome bike once set up and tuned right.
