🐾 Meet Berkley – our four-legged Tasmanian tourist with a serious love affair... with hot chips! 🍟❤️

Berkley has travelled all the way from Tasmania with his humans and has been living the dream here at Charters Towers Tourist Park .

Named after the famous Berkley fishing brand, he certainly lived up to his name in his younger days. Berkley used to head out with his humans and help catch trout back home in Tasmania. These days, though, he's officially retired from fishing and has swapped trout for... hot chips! 🎣➡️
🍟The pub has become one of his favourite places, mainly because he's convinced every visit should include his own bowl of hot chips... And judging by that face... who could say no? ❤️

At 12 years old, Berkley is living proof that age is just a number. He's mastered the fine art of relaxing, charming absolutely everyone he meets, and convincing unsuspecting campers that he's definitely starving—even if he finished breakfast just five minutes ago. 😂

His hobbies include:
🐶 Supervising BBQs.
🐟 Catch fewer trout.
🍟 Quality-testing hot chips at the pub.
👧 Winning over every kid he meets.
🍖 Sampling... well... literally any food within sniffing distance.
😴 Nap like it's an Olympic sport.
👀 Giving his humans "the look" until snacks magically appear.

He's spending his retirement enjoying the Queensland sunshine before heading back home to Tasmania in February 2027.

Thanks for bringing so many smiles to our park, Berkley. We reckon you've officially earned the title of Chief Chip Inspector at Charters Towers Tourist Park! 🏆🐾

BREAKING NEWS 📰🐾

The identity of our mystery guest has finally been revealed.

Everyone, meet beautiful Meg! 🐾💕

She arrived with very little luggage, no booking confirmation, and absolutely no intention of paying for her stay. 😆

Within minutes she had:
✅ Claimed the best spots in the park
✅ Made friends with everyone she met
✅ Convinced us that she's the boss
✅ Demanded unlimited pats
We may have started as a tourist park, but we're now officially Meg's holiday resort.

This gorgeous girl has been enjoying her holiday at CTTP.
With her wagging tail, friendly personality, and adorable smile 🥰
We think you'll agree she's pretty special!

🚨 PAW-SOME GUEST ALERT! 🚨

We recently had not one, not two, but THREE furry VIPs check in at Charters Towers Tourist Park! 🐾

Meet Millie, Louis, and Murphy – the four-legged trio who arrived with their humans and immediately took over the park's social scene. 😎

🐶 Millie was the unofficial park manager, checking in on everyone and everything.

🐶 Louis worked hard building his fan club, one wag and adorable glance at a time.

🐶 Murphy was busy gathering local intelligence, sniffing his way through every corner of the park.

Together, they created enough tail wags, happy barks, and puppy mischief to keep everyone smiling.

We love welcoming pets and their humans to our pet-friendly park. Thanks for staying with us, Millie, Louis, and Murphy — you can come back anytime!

A big Charters Towers Tourist Park welcome to our furry guests of the week! Every week we meet some amazing four-legged travellers, these happy travellers have certainly put smiles on our faces.

We love being a pet-friendly destination and meeting all the wonderful dogs who stop by on their adventures. ❤️

What a fantastic evening at the Camp Kitchen last night! 🍽️🔥

Our guests at Charters Towers Tourist Park enjoyed a delicious 3-course dinner prepared by the local Scouts group, bringing great food, friendly faces, and community spirit together under one roof.

From hearty meals to plenty of laughs and conversation, it was a wonderful night shared by travellers and locals alike. A big thank you to the Scouts for their incredible effort and hospitality! 👏
