Pictured here are Scott Harris, General Manager of our Naming Rights Sponsor, Cessnock Mitsubishi , and APBGP Committee Member Charlie McLennan, holding the Damien Wallace Memorial Perpetual Trophy.

Both Scott and Charlie have been part of the Australian Postie Bike Grand Prix since its inception in 2014, and both were good mates of Damien “Damo” Wallace.

This is the trophy every rider wants their name on. But behind the handlebars, the competition and the glory, there’s a whole lot of heart attached to this one.

Damo was a huge part of the APBGP Committee, and his memory continues to be a part of what makes this event so special.

Tomorrow, the streets of Cessnock will once again come alive with the sound of Postie bikes, the roar of the crowd and riders chasing that ultimate glory.

And while only one team will have the bragging rights & their name etched on this trophy, Damo will always have a place in this race.

This trophy is for Damo. This race is for Damo.

See the Damien Wallace Memorial Perpetual Trophy today at Pedens Hotel for Dyno Day at the Merchandise tent.

Good luck to all teams tomorrow. 🏁🏁

MEET DANIEL

We were on a mission to pick up food supplies for our CWA ladies, with Cessnock Cellars keeping everything chilled and ready for the Flaggies sandwiches, when we spotted Wicksy and couldn’t pass up the chance for a quick chat!

Best of luck to all teams hitting the streets of Cessnock this weekend. Time to see what those posties can do! 🏁
