Its offically winter and now is the time to make sure our hydraulic hoses are in great working condition. Hoses in winter can become stiff, brittle and prone to cracking due to the changes in weather, and hydraulic fluid can become thicker potentially slowing the flow and putting more pressure on the hose. It's important to get regular checks on your machinery and hoses, and that when we aren't using them we are storing in a cool dry place.

Pressure ratings of hoses and how to work it out! It's important to know what the pressure rating is, especially when having to repair/replace a blown hose. Generally the most common pressure rates are;
Low Pressure - (10,000 PSI)
All hoses should have what is called a layline, which is texted printed on the hose telling you information such as manufacturer, part number, size, maximum working pressure and manufacturing date. This will help you (and us) repair the hose correctly and safely, making sure you are back working on site in no time!

Team breakfast this morning! Arthur was on the tools and our trusty .beanz delivery us the coffee! Great start for a Thursday!
