Volkswagen began in 1937 in Germany as the "people's car". A few decades later, the humble Beetle arrived, an air cooled, quirky, stubbornly reliable car.

From the iconic Kombi vans of the 1960s, to the hot hatch legend that is the Golf GTI, VW built its reputation on clever engineering, everyday practicality and a wee bit of German attitude.

Somewhere out there, a 20 year old Gold with 300,000km on the clock is still refusing to die.

Did you ever wonder what the famous BMW logo is?

Many folks believe the BMW badge is a spinning airplane propeller. That's because BMW started out as an aircraft engine manufacturer in Germany in 1916. After WWI, Germany was banned from producing aircraft engines under the Treaty of Versailles, so they pivoted into motorcycles and eventually, automobiles.

While aviation influenced the brand, the blue and white colours actually originate from the Bavarian flag.

The automotive industry runs on hard work. That’s just facts. Behind a lot of that hard work is a Mum making it all possible.
To the Mums doing school runs, workshop drop offs, late dinners, endless support, washing greasy uniforms and everything in between, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

We are proud that the team behind the BM Tech name has again been recognised for its exceptional work.

Small car. Giant personality. GB

The MINI story began in 1959, born during a fuel crisis (hello, Strait of Hormuz!) with one bold idea. Build a small car that was efficient, clever and genuinely fun to drive. With its sideways engine and wheels pushed to the corners, it handled like nothing else on the road.
By the 1960s, MINI proved small could be mighty, winning the Monte Carlo Rally and earning its place in motoring history.
Relaunced by BMW in 2001, MINI kept its cheeky spirit while adding modern engineering, becoming the premium small car icon we know today.🏁

Audi introduced quattro, and performance cars were never the same again.

From rally stages to everyday roads, it's still one of the most iconic drivetrain systems in automotive history.

Iconic

It doesn't get much more iconic than this...

Mr. Bean & his 1977 Leyland Cars Mini 1000 Mark IV in Austin Citron Green.

Believe it or not, this wasn't his first car, the pilot episode featured an orange MINI, and over the course of the series and films, Mr. Bean actually went through at least six different MINIs!
