Decided to hook into the trusty little datsun a bit more, the chassis swap isn't completed yet I still have a bit or work lining up and getting some clearances before the l20b motor and box go in but I did buy a doner orange 620 to take the tub off and tonight was nothing but the finest of rattle caning it try and match the patina of the body and I think it came up pretty good for a couple of tins and buffing the cab I still have the whole left side to do but it's midnight and I'm tired so I'll continue on tomorrow.

Tonight I braved the cold and went into the shop to put on the oil feed block, oil feed lines and the turbo that was off, I clocked the turbo centers and wrote out a fresh list of things to go.
I can't wait to feel how it goes, I'm hoping to have it fired up again this week or next just depending on how much time I have in the nights to play with it.

I have no idea where we left off but as of the last couple of weeks we got some sweet looking work crags from , big door stickers from Dj got put on and all 4 headlights got converted to led's and that's about it on the datsun 620.
On the skyline I got a pretty damaged gtr bonnet shipped up from melbourn that will need alot of love, we drove to Sydney and got a genuine front bar n1 vents and lower lip put together also also needing some love and then again to Sydney for a gtr passenger bucket seat.
So still hunting down body parts for the skyline once we've got all the body sorted we'll start on the engine. I got an ignition barrel and lock set with keys from .
There's also a ton of after market wiring that needs to be cut out from under the dash which I'm dredding but I think that's about all at this stage.

Well absolutely no work to the skyline today but the ke35 coupe and the ke50 lift back both go towed off the mountain of solitude back into town all the the help of .
There were some hairy bits of the mountain where some lady pushed us off the road and the ke50's rear breaks were stuck so kev towed me round the property trying to unstick them but that didn't work so we managed to get the drums off and roll it on to the trailor.

Tonight I'm back to the left rear quarter getting it all stripped down, I know it would have been easier to just clean off the seams and drill them off but I would hate for someone to buy these guards and find 9ut there just absolutely not usable it make me feel better this way, but under the paint minus the rust spots we currently know about and the shotty bog work they are looking pretty good and from not a body guy very repairable.
I am quite happy that it seems to be very solid.
This is the first time I've seen most of the boot floor and it could be better but most of it looks like surface rust with one little hole at the back that has rusted threw so nothing to be scared about.
I'm hoping the left rear quarter will either be at the pulling off stage or better yet off by Sunday night but I don't think I'll be putting any hours in on it tomorrow as I'm going to go pick up 2 of my others cars that have been sitting on a friend's farm for near enough to 10 years (ke35 corolla coupe and a ke50 corolla hatch) I'd imagine I'm just going to end up selling them to allow me to put more money into the skyline but we'll see what happens.
Yes I am using the evo3 as a table for some light items don't judge me to hard like my wife does.

Today a very rare item I got my hands on rocked up today in the form of a ApexiPower Fc Ecu with hand controller for the RB20Det sent down from Queensland by
I also got some GK Tech braided brake lines and a genuine coil loom.
So things do be happening.
