🚗 Another Heater Core Replacement Completed! 🔧

This vehicle came to us with a leaking heater core, causing coolant loss and a sweet coolant smell inside the cabin.

We replaced the faulty heater core, reassembled the dash, refilled the cooling system with fresh coolant, bled the system correctly, and carried out final checks to ensure there were no leaks and everything was operating as it should.

If you’re noticing coolant loss, your windows constantly fogging up, a sweet smell inside the car, or damp carpet, don’t ignore it—it could be a leaking heater core.

Another common failure fixed! 🔧

The original plastic coolant T-piece had cracked, causing a coolant leak. We replaced it with a durable brass T-piece upgrade for a much more reliable, long-lasting repair.

⚠️ When was the last time your spark plugs were changed?

These are the spark plugs we removed from a customer’s vehicle today. They were heavily worn and covered in rust, and by the look of them, they may never have been replaced.

Worn spark plugs can cause:
• Rough idle
• Poor fuel economy
• Loss of power
• Hard starting
• Engine misfires

Replacing them at the recommended service interval helps keep your engine running smoothly and can prevent more expensive repairs down the track.

‼️Would you know what to do if your car broke down today?‼️

I've been thinking about running a Basic Car Skills Workshop to help people feel more confident with their cars.

It would be a small group, hands-on practical class covering simple skills like checking oil and fluids, tyre pressure, changing a tyre, understanding warning lights, jump-starting a flat battery, what to do in an emergency, and the basic tools I recommend keeping in your vehicle.

I'd love to know, would this be something you'd be interested in? And what basic car skills do you think everyone should know? 🚗🔧

Customer reported poor throttle response, rough idle and intermittent engine warning light concerns.

Carried out diagnostic testing and confirmed a faulty throttle body assembly. Replaced the throttle body, performed the necessary adaptations and cleared fault codes. Vehicle was road tested and is now running smoothly with normal throttle response restored.

Another VW Golf back on the road and running as it should. 🚗🔧

A lucky escape for this Nissan Elgrand.

While driving, the lower ball joint failed suddenly, causing the wheel and suspension assembly to separate from its normal position. Fortunately, the driver recognised something was wrong and safely pulled over before a more serious incident occurred.

Upon inspection, the failed ball joint was confirmed as the cause. To restore the suspension safely, the complete lower control arm assembly was replaced and the vehicle was thoroughly checked before being returned to service.

This is a reminder that unusual knocks, clunks, or steering concerns should never be ignored. A worn ball joint can fail without warning and lead to a loss of vehicle control.

✅ Lower control arm replaced
✅ Suspension components inspected
✅ Vehicle road tested and returned to service
