Hyundai i30N – TD06SL2 Billet 20G Custom Turbo Build!
Finishing off another big job here at Hypergear Turbochargers!
This time, we're working on a Hyundai i30N turbocharger, with our client requesting a custom TD06SL2 Billet 20G setup for testing and tuning.
Rather than a conventional high-flow upgrade, we've taken things a step further with a custom-built turbocharger package!
🔧 Build Specifications:
✅ In-house built TD06SL2-20G Billet CHRA
✅ Custom G25 compressor housing with i30N actuator mounting provision
✅ Factory turbine housing precision profile-machined to accommodate the larger TD06 CHRA
✅ Custom assembly and machining completed in-house
We're targeting approximately 300 awkw with the right supporting modifications, fuel and ECU calibration.
What's particularly interesting about this build is that our client will be testing it back-to-back against our previously built G30-660 specification CHRA.
The aim is to compare boost response, power delivery and peak output to determine whether the TD06SL2 Billet 20G offers a better overall alternative for the Hyundai i30N platform.
Will the TD06SL2-20G outperform the G30-660 setup? We'll find out once the dyno results are in!
