Cairns Diesel Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Fuel Injection Service Adviser to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Customer service and front counter sales
* Preparing and following up quotations
* Booking fuel injection work
* Liaising with customers, technicians, and suppliers
* Processing invoices and job cards
* Assisting with parts enquiries and ordering
* Helping oversee the day-to-day operation of the DFI workshop

* Maintaining excellent customer communication throughout the repair process

The Successful Applicant Will Have

* Previous experience in a service adviser, spare parts, or automotive administration role
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines and fuel injection systems (preferred)
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* High attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
* Professional presentation and a positive attitude
* Good computer and administration skills

Another tough V6 Ford through the workshop this week for a custom in-house dyno tune 🔥

These V6s already drive well from factory, but once properly tuned they become a completely different vehicle — smoother power delivery, stronger towing response and far better throttle feel right across the rev range.

Everything done right here at CDS on our in-house dyno with data logging and live adjustments, not just a generic file loaded into it.

Whether it’s for towing, touring or just making the daily drive more enjoyable, we build every tune to suit how the vehicle is actually used.

Today we celebrate a massive milestone — 15 years of Ashley being part of the Cairns Diesel Service family.

Over the years we’ve watched Ash grow not only as a tradesman, but as a person — building a family, mentoring others, and becoming a huge part of what CDS is today. His hard work, loyalty and dedication have helped shape Cairns Diesel Service into the business it has become, and honestly, we wouldn’t be where we are today without him.
