The NHVR team intercepted a defected heavy vehicle combination operating under extreme non-compliance conditions in Northern NSW recently. Two issues included:

❌ Complete failure of the airbag suspension system, with airbags dislodged from their saddle mounting points
❌ Several brake boosters had exceeded their travel limits and the pushrod stroke indicators fully exposed. With the warning lights illuminated, this showed that the driver had failed to address brake-related faults.

This disregard for safety by the operator not only jeopardised their own life but also posed a significant risk to other road users.

We have had a very busy few months of racing. Travel & accommodation costs (mostly diesel fuel) have taken a toll on our 51NQ Racing bank account. With the recent Queensland title rain out in Maryborough, we knew we could not afford to return to Maryborough for the rescheduled title race in June.
We are after all a budget team, and our trip to Victoria kinda sucked us dry. We needed a miracle to occur to defend our Q1 status.
