NB1 or NB2? The compliance decision you need to make before you order.

HD truck (RAM 2500, Silverado 2500) = two pathways:
• NB1 (car licence) = watch your payload carefully
• NB2 (truck licence) = payload margin for every accessory, tow-ball load covered

Half-ton (Tundra, F-150, Silverado 1500):
• Pre-rego GVM = keeps full tow capacity + increases payload
• Post-rego = factory tow numbers locked, payload runs out fast

RAM 2500 vs 3500 — are 3500s overrated?

Dean gets this question daily. Here's the truth: same wheelbase, same dimensions, different payload story.

RAM 2500 = coil springs, comfier around town, lower rear payload ceiling.
RAM 3500 = leaf springs (progressive), more payload on the rear axle, engineered for heavy work.

The question isn't "which is bigger" — it's which one matches your real use case. Towing heavy? Touring loaded? Running tools daily? The platform you start with sets the ceiling for everything that comes after.
