🚍 IMPORTANT SCHOOL SERVICE NOTICE – ROUTE CHANGES

Effective Monday 31 August 2026

Please be advised of temporary route changes affecting School Services 7052 and 7060.

Due to roadworks and the closure of Creek Road, there is currently no safe access for buses, so both services will operate via an alternative route.

🌅 MORNING SERVICES – 7052 AM & 7060 AM
Services will:
➡️ Commence from the bus stop on Eastern Service Road, opposite Green Wattle Gardens
➡️ Turn right into Foster Road
➡️ Turn left into Twists Road

🌆 AFTERNOON SERVICES – 7052 PM & 7060 PM
Services will:
➡️ Drop off along Twists Road
➡️ Turn right into Foster Road
➡️ Turn left into Eastern Service Road
➡️ Finish at the intersection of Creek Road and Eastern Service Road

⚠️ Please allow extra time and ensure students are waiting at the designated stops.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank our passengers and families for their patience while these roadworks are underway.

Are you a qualified Spray Painter who takes pride in a job well done? 👀

Our in-house Paint & Panel Workshop at Burpengary Depot is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Spray Painter to join the KBL team.

You’ll play an important role in keeping our coaches and buses looking their best, working on everything from repairs and restoration to the ongoing upkeep of our fleet. 🚌✨

🔧 What you’ll be doing:
• Surface preparation – sanding, filling & masking
• Priming, spray painting & finishing
• Inspecting completed work and correcting imperfections
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised
• Logging completed jobs through our in-house systems

👋 About you:
• Qualified with previous spray-painting experience
• Heavy vehicle, truck, trailer or machinery experience is highly regarded
• Strong preparation and finishing skills
• Excellent eye for detail
• Reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
• HR & Forklift Licence desirable

That’s exactly what life looks like for KBL 90, which recently hit the road rolling through Central Queensland and into the spectacular Carnarvon Gorge.

Surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs, ancient landscapes and the rugged beauty of Central Queensland, KBL 90 found itself with a pretty impressive view from the driver’s seat! ⛰️

And luckily, Russell H was there to capture the moment. 📷

🚌💛 Little People, Big Bus Safety Lessons! 👧🧒

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting some of the little people of our community at Busy Bees Early Learning Burpengary East! 🐝

Our KBL team had a wonderful time teaching our future little passengers all about:
🎟️ How to use a ticket machine
🚌 Bus safety and how to travel safely
💺 Why we buckle up
🙋‍♀️ How to behave while travelling on a bus
✨ And, most importantly, how to feel confident when catching a bus!

A huge thank you to the team at Busy Bees Early Learning Burpengary East for inviting us along and giving us the opportunity to help build confidence and bus safety awareness from an early age.

And one little comment really made our day… 🥹💛

We’re looking for Labourers, Trade Assistants & Fabricators to join the crew in our in-house Paint & Panel Workshop at Burpengary!

If you’re the kind of person who sees a scratched panel and thinks “Yep, I can fix that” — we want to hear from you. 😎

You’ll be getting stuck into:
🛠️ Panel repairs & fabrication
🔥 Cutting, grinding, sanding & welding
🎨 Paint preparation, masking & cleaning
🚌 Repairing and keeping our bus fleet looking its best
💪 General workshop & labouring duties

You don’t need to know everything — but you do need to be reliable, practical, hands-on and keen to learn.

Experience in coach, motorbody, automotive, fabrication or similar work will be highly regarded.

🚧 Service Announcement – Mount Glorious Road, Samford Valley 🚧

Please be advised that Energy Queensland will be carrying out crossarm replacement works on Mount Glorious Road, between Sky Drive and 512 Mount Glorious Road, on Monday, 17 August 2026, from 6:00am to approximately 6:00pm.

Traffic management, including contraflow, will be in place throughout the day, which may result in minor delays for motorists and public transport.

🚌 TransLink Route 399 services and school bus services in the area will continue to operate, with all bus stops remaining open. While every effort will be made to prioritise buses through the work zone, some delays may still occur.

If you're travelling through the area on Monday, please:
✔️ Allow a little extra travel time.
✔️ Follow all traffic management directions.
✔️ Drive safely around workers and equipment.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important works are completed to help maintain a safe and reliable electricity network.

• Our buses will operate to the Public Holiday timetable on Monday 10 August.
