Few more baby steps on the old scooter - machined axle slots out from 3/4 to 1” - shimmed up rear n got belt where it should be - tyres in the centre - made it a bit wider to accommodate a 260 tyre ( when this 240 wears out 🤫) guard bracket cut ready to tack on …. Setup a conventional centre front offset rim( springer front wheels are offsett 1.5”) into the centre with fitting a 13” floating rotor and 6spot calliper grafted into OG style bracket

Monday morning ( 🤫 don’t tell the boss Tracey 😂) Rear guard bracket that welds to swingarm- out of 75x5 to put some strength into guard - to take a passenger….. bit of a task contouring the existing shape( this is how it was 20 years ago - then swingarm went into another bike that i built back then ) ….once rearend is squared up with a belt aligned - we can place guard in correct position n notch to top of swingarm 🤙🏻

Pesky little Saturday personal job …. Only been trying to attack it for 2 years 🤦🏻‍♂️…. Being a left side drive transmission with a 250 it was still 20mm off centreline- so i thought if i can place the belt on the outside of the swingarm and offset the tubes a bit - it will push the wheel to the left and centralise it 👌🏻… next I have to mill out axle slots to 1” …. Machine up some spacers - and make some tabs for the brake calliper and chain guard …. Once all sitting square I will mount the guard to the swingarm…….
