8V carnage.
I have lost count of the roller tappets I have fitted, but this is my first broken tappet. Add to this damage there is a piece of tappet embedded in the cam box and the 8 valves are all mushroomed over and guides worn. Must have been a tad rattly one would assume. Bottom end will be toast from the metal particles floating around which then embed in the bearings.

It’s a fine looking steed. I’d love one of these in my lounge room.

That’l fix it.

I do not know the person who decided that this dodgy repair was going to work. I do know that it snapped the valve, which resulted in damage to the head, piston and barrel on this Griso.
