This beautiful ’73 Mustang came to us from another shop with a few issues that needed sorting.

After a proper look over it, we found the harmonic balancer had spun on the hub, once we got that sorted, it was smooth sailing from there!

The JOH team got stuck into it and:
• Replaced the harmonic balancer
• Fitted an MSD distributor, coil & brand-new leads made in-house
• Tuned the Holley Sniper EFI
• Fitted a vehicle speed sensor and calibrated it on the dyno
• Replaced the noisy fuel pump and mounted the new one correctly
• Gave the entire vehicle a thorough check-over
• Road tested everything to make sure it was ready to go

Needless to say, the customer is absolutely stoked and that's what we're here for!

Another beautiful car sorted, tuned and ready to be enjoyed!

Another inhouse brake upgrade completed using our own design with the bosch ibooster on Kens absolutely stunning VC wagon! Keep an eye out for the next post when we reveal the engine that we also did for it.

After freshening the original 308 for this beautiful A9X quite a few months back we finally got to spin it up on the dyno today!

The old vac sec holley is holding it back a little but with the new TKO 5 speed it's still a staunch cruiser.

This week's workshop job was Boyd's R33 Skyline.

The car came to us after having a MAXXECU, injectors and fuel pump fitted and tuned elsewhere, but it was pretty much undriveable. The rear of the car was covered in soot and the AFRs were miles off. Looking through the ECU tables felt like staring at a game of Tetris. To make matters worse, the boost control wasn't working and it was only making 8psi. It would also stall every time you pulled up at the lights.

We strapped it onto the dyno, fitted our PLEX V3 knock box and started working through the issues properly. Fuel, ignition, acceleration enrichment, idle air control and after-start fueling tables were all corrected and dialled in. We then fitted a new MAC valve and turned it up — with NO knock.

The difference is wild. Boyd now has a completely different car and it finally drives the way it should.
