Winter is the time batteries give up because they don't handle the cold well (like me) and it's normally on a Sunday in the middle of nowhere with no phone reception, and dark clouds on the horizon.
So, all that said, how old is your bike battery? Motobatt Batteries have a 2 Year warranty and yes, I will be happy to fit it for free.

This is what happens when the magnets come loose from the rotor housing, takes out the stator and if you're really unlucky breaks the stator screws in the crankcases. More parts for the rubbish bin.
