Down South Street Cars

Down South Street Cars was founded February, 2009 in the South West of Western Australia.

We are enthusiasts of all kinds of cars, and the club is open to any make or model of vehicle, and welcomes everyone, from the complete car nut, to someone who just likes a cruise.

We strive to encourage safe and responsible driving. Down South Street Cars fully supports our local Police, in their efforts to eradicate dangerous and anti-social behavior from public streets, and take it onto the track where it belongs.

We are a Motorsports Australia affiliated club with strong connections to the Collie Motorplex and we aim to create more opportunities for our members to participate in advanced driver training, and track events. We also have members that volunteer as officials at both Collie Motorplex and Waneroo Raceway.

It doesn’t need to be a show car.

It doesn’t need to be rare.

And it definitely doesn’t need to be perfect.

Classic, modified, work in progress, weekend toy or daily ride – if it’s Japanese and you enjoy it, we’d love to see it at the Japanese Car & Motorbike Matsuri.

Come along, park up with fellow enthusiasts and be part of a relaxed Sunday morning celebrating Japanese motoring.

Hey All,

Putting a call out to anyone who has a nice car and is free this Wednesday.

Collie Motorplex is holding its annual Revheads Day for the WA Disabled Association and we're looking for people to volunteer their time and their cars

Ashley & Dave help out with this every year and they can tell you it is one of the best days ever. The excitement and enjoyment that the participants experience is infectious and a joy to see.

If you have a Motorsport Australia licence you can take participants for "hot laps" but even if not, you can still take them around for parade laps.

If you can help out, please contact Anna at the Motorplex and let her know.

For those that live in the Australind area, we are going to head down to Autopro Australind prior to the meet on Friday to support their 1st Anniversary Sundowner. Hope to see some of you there to give them some support and maybe grab some cheap supplies.

A couple of weeks back we had a members only cruise out through Fergie Valley, Dardy Bakery for lunch and ending up at the Collie Motorplex where we were privileged enough to take our cars onto the track to take some rolling & staged shots.

We cannot thank the CollieMotorplex manager Anna Farrell enough for the opportunity, and Graeme Howie of Sport Pixx Sport Photography for taking the awesome shots. :).
