Steve brought in his Transporter T6 4Motion for a service and a pre-holiday checkup before heading up the coast this Christmas. With plans to use the van as a camper, reliability and off-road capability were top priorities.

4WD System Service
While reviewing the van’s history, we found the Haldex 4WD system had never been serviced—and it wasn’t working! We got it back in action to ensure Steve can tackle both the highway and the trails.

Ride and Handling Upgrade
Steve was worried about how the van felt when fully loaded. We noticed the rear suspension was struggling under weight, creating a bouncy and uneven ride.

The Bilstein Lift Kit Solution

Paul’s 2017 S4 – Major Diagnostic Insights

Paul’s B9 S4 arrived with significant issues: misfires, power loss, and camshaft timing fault codes.The engine also had a subtle ticking noise from the right side cylinder bank.The 3.0 V6 Turbo EA839 had an update in 2019, improving the rocker arms used to push the valves open. Since this particular car already had a rocker arm update, just over one year ago due to failure, this definitely required deeper investigation.

🛠 Our Diagnostic Approach:
After thorough testing, we identified the need for a closer inspection, involving removal of the cylinder head cover. During this process, we uncovered additional issues, and determined that removing the engine would be the most efficient approach to comprehensively address all concerns.
