Ben’s 70 series came up a treat. The final pieces of the puzzle. Last time we saw it we fitted superior remote res lift with billet radius arms & some Kenda Klever rt tyres.
This time we finished her off with an NPC Clutch, dpf back exhaust system and Phatbars 5” snorkel & a tune.

We had Darrens beautiful XT Fairmont in recently tasked to get it back on the road after 20 years.
Darren had done a solid job of getting most of the minor things & aesthetics done and then decided to trust us for the bigger jobs and final touches.
We Removed the Automatic Transmission, removed the pan and checked for an debris, which was very minimal for its age. We cleaned it all up, Replaced all the seals fitted a new filter and transmission cooler lines. Replaced the uni-joints in the drive shaft. Removed the rear axles and replaced the bearings and seals, resealed the rear diff hat, replaced the hard line and rubber hoses on the rear diff. Filled it with Penrite fluids front to back, Fitted a set of refurbished 12 slot wheels,
Adjusted the Carby, Set the timing & man she drove as good as she looks. Darren took her up to get registered and has been cruising the weekends since.

First big job of the year out the door. It Wasn't the best start to the year for the , we had the vehicle booked in before there big trip to SA for a whole host of works since last year. When we started to undertake the long list, we found the unbelievable A large rats nest!! Under the intake manifold in the valley of the engine was a substantial rats nest which blocked the drain holes in the engine block, accompanied with many of water crossings in the past and the foam fitted to these engines in the valley it created a nightmare. Salt water + drenched foam that couldn't escape. The result it rusted out the engine block. The cylinder walls had lost around 3-5mm of material same as the headbolt bosses. With a bigger turbo and list of go fast and reliability improvements this engine would not be suitable no more. So we sourced a brand new crate engine, swapped eveything over and fitted the big turbo, along with new injectors and injector pump. We also made up a blower system that the guys can hook there tyre inflator too to blow any obstructions from around the drain holes so this never happens again. With a new gearbox already on the list, we backed the engine with that, a new 4" intake and airbox. Buttoned it all up and shipped it up the coast to to work his magic & that he did with a multimap tune 1 for towing and 1 for blowing all the rats out of the vicinity of the big girl.
We brought her back home did some final checks and drove her for a couple days to ensure perfection for the to make way on there adventure.
