Well what can I say. I’ve decided to play up a little over the last few days on Dave. He was driving me home from work the other night and stopped at a red light and I decided to start flickering my charge light.then was a steady glow with the headlights on. We made it home and today he had a chance to check me over and find out what the issue was. My alternator wasn’t playing the game. After a few minutes it was 12.2volts. So lucky for me Dave headed to the shed and a few minutes later returned with a near new unit. I heard him say. Lucky I still had the mini in there. lol. So he swapped my alternator over and checked charge rate. Now getting 14.2volts both him and I were happy. So all going well I’ll be heading to my first ever swap meet and 2nd car display day next Sunday. Will keep you all updated.

So after taking a little break anda well earned rest. Dave decided to wake me from my cosy bed in the shed and drive me to his new workplace. Well unfortunately I had a flat battery(even though Dave started me weekly.)except for the past 2 weeks as he and Paula went on a little trip of their own with the caravan. Anyways I got a jump start and coughed into life. Then off to his new workplace. We drove for a while and people waved and stared. Some people pointed and laughed. But we are used to that. We parked outside on the road. And people stopped and started taking pics of me. And looking at my undercarriage. Then on our drive home someone honked at me. Some people almost snapped necks as we drove past. But wow why a fun day. So if you see me out and about come up and say hello. I promise I won’t fall over lol 😂. We both like meeting new people and explaining me.
Gotta go. Remember keep your eyes 👀 out for me.

Well Dave’s hard work paid off we made it to the All BRITISH DAY. What a day I met sooo many people and many made fun of me. But Dave and Paula stood up for me. Lots of kids and some grown ups asked if they could sit in me as they have only seen my type on the tellie. Anyway we all had a blast. Both Dave’s daughters and his granddaughter came for a visit. We all found it funny that they parked me next to the jensons.

Well can I say Dave’s hard work has paid off. We made it to the all British day here in brisbane we are parked with the Jensons but we are the only Reliant here Dave finished at 6.30pm last night and I made him pull his hair out till the end.

Well what can I say. Dave has been pulling his hair out over my rear lights. He’d get them all working then the next day no brake lights or maybe just one and if he was lucky the opposite side taillight wouldn’t work just because. So he’d pull them all part clean the contacts and wiggle the bulb holders. Yay he’d say it’s all working then he would take me for a drive. Well a few days later same thing again. This has gone on for nearly the whole time I’ve been registered here and Dave driving me around. So today he decided to modify my wiring with a different idea and more importantly better contacts and a few on my plug pins got a little hot and started to melt. He came up with this idea and soldered all the contacts and connections and fitted different plugs also. Hopefully I’m all fixed now and my lights won’t
Play up again to soon.

Well what can I say Dave was driving me home last night from work and we had a car pull out from a line of traffic and follow us and he was madly waving at us up ahead the lights were red and we stopped he pulled up beside us and asked if I was for sale in a very thick Irish accent. He used to have a mk2 back home he said. And couldn’t believe he saw me driving around. He was nice and
Asked Dave if he could make a serious offer,Dave laughed and said no I’m not for sale.he then asked if he could give his phone number if Dave would ever want to sell me. Again Dave laughed and told him,he would never sell me and told the guy my story he said that’s just grand. Green light and we both drove off. Then as we got closer to home Dave noticed a little black Hyundai following us. As we take a lot of back road home. Anyway we get home Dave backs me into the yard (driveway) and then a voice is heard at front gate..Hi there this will sound strange but what is that car and is it scary to drive around in because it only has 3 wheels. And how does it work etc. he seemed genuinely interested in me. So Dave showed him my engine and controls and explained how I work and the way my steering works. Dave told him about my page. He thanked us and went on his way very happy. We both like meeting people and showing them how I work etc and try to disprove Jeremy about I must roll on ever corner. Dave’s been driving me for over a year now and hasn’t even gotten me wobbly lol. 😂 anyway. Gotta go Dave’s about to head to work so see ya out and about and please don’t be shy if you see us around. Just say HI 👋

Sorry it’s been a while Dave has been enjoying the experience of just driving me around
Brisbane. We’ve been getting to meet new people and get some funny looks as we do. I was parked outside of Dave’s workplace the other day when a gentleman came in asked who owned me. He has a triumph stag and apparently there is a all British day coming up soon and Dave should bring me along as he couldn’t believe that there is an actual registered reliant robin so close so keep posted for more information and pics when it happens
Anyway gotta go love always

So an interesting thing happened to me this morning whilst Dave was driving me to work. We got pulled over for a random traffic stop and breath test by the police. How many police does it take to carry out said test well all 5 of them is the answer.4 to stand around and
Joke and one to test Dave. But really what a silly question at 7.30am on a Friday morning.
Driver I’m constable ….,, from a station. Have you consumed any alcohol this morning. Well Dave’s answer. I find it hard enough driving a car with 4 wheels after drinking. I’m not silly enough to try it with only 3 wheels. We both thought it was funny as. The police officers didn’t. Then the ooh is this the car that was on top gear that keeps rolling over. Again Dave’s answer. Does it look like it rolls over at every corner. ?? Officer. Drive safely and had a good day. Some people just don’t have a sense of humour.

Wow what an incredible week I’ve just been through. Last monday 3rd of March I heard Dave tell Paula he was going to park me under the deck at the back of the house and make sure I was safely stored as there was a cyclone coming. I didn’t know what that was though. But I found out. Wow what an experience. By Friday evening the rain was pouring down and the winds some reached 107 kpm. Trees blown over and roofs ripped of houses. Other people got flooded. Luckily this was a category 2 cyclone but before it hit the main land area where we are it turned into a tropical low depression. And just stay still for days raining and winds blowing. More trees fell more damage to houses. Power lines down. To say I was a little scared 😱. But Dave reassured me all will be fine as he made sure I was safely stored. I’m just glad it wasn’t worse. As apparently cyclones can reach cat 5 rating. That winds in excess of 280kph The cat 2 was expected to reach wind speeds 125 Koh. Anyway in safe Dave’s place suffered no damage and all is good. I just hope I never have to experience anything like that again.
Love from robin.
