🥶 Winter mornings… they’re getting harder, aren’t they?

Leaving the warmth of a cosy bed.
Standing under a hot shower just to wake up.
Wrapping our hands around a hot cuppa before facing the day.

We all need a little time to warm up… and so does your vehicle. 🚗❄️

On those icy mornings, it’s a good idea to start your car and let it idle for around 30 seconds before driving away. This allows the engine oil to begin circulating and lubricating the engine properly.

After that, the best way to warm your vehicle is to drive gently for the first few kilometres. Avoid heavy acceleration or high revs until the engine reaches normal operating temperature.

A few winter tips:
✅ Give your windscreen time to fully defrost before driving.
✅ Make sure your tyres are correctly inflated—cold weather can reduce tyre pressure.
✅ Keep your battery in good condition, as winter is when weak batteries often fail.
✅ If your vehicle sounds different, struggles to start, or warning lights appear, don’t ignore it.

A little patience on a cold morning can help reduce wear on your engine and keep your vehicle running reliably throughout winter.
