Great day yesterday, helping out at the Brisbane Children’s Christmas Party!! Variety Children’s Charity QLD had a stand handing out some goodies with the Liberty Swing (always a favourite). The Lego boys with The Firetruck were a massive hit for photos with the kids. Scooby Doo & the Mystery van got heaps of photos also. The Variety Children’s Choir entertained the crowd with some very upbeat Christmas carols.

There was face painting, tattoos, games, rides, lots of roaming dressed up characters (including dogs & police horse), Police, ambulance, toy & food giveaways, singing & dancing, magic acts & of course SANTA!

Very busy & rewarding day. The kids, parents & caregivers had an amazing time. Thank you to all the organisers, sponsors, volunteers & staff. Amazing day !! 🎄🎁🎅

Didn’t get too many photos as we were too busy. Doing it for the kids!

Day 9 Parkes to Tamworth. Had our ac/dc sing along to get us revved up for the day. Visited the dish & stopped for morning tea cake stall at Cumnock school. All baked by the kids. Yummy. Beautiful scenery & funky metal art through small towns. A fun stop of outback pokies then onto Gulgong for lunch at the bowlo. Watched some of the local kids having a game. A couple of head shaves to raise more funds for the kids in the evening. A few dances to finish the day.

Day 8 Deniliquin to Parkes. Gorgeous sunrise. Another day on the dirt. Visited Jerilderie state school & handed out some more goodies. Also a lovely girl at the fuel stop who was in awe of all our animals on the car got a gift bag. Early night for an early start next day.

Day 7 Nhill to Deniliquin

Very cold start to day. Cool bits & bobs & art found on the way in some small towns. Lunch at Lake Boga & onto Deniliquin for the night. Another meet & greet with one of our recipiant families. Another awesome sunset. Great entertainment from Andrew Swift.

Day 6 Adelaide to Nhill. Left early in morning through the fog at a crisp 4degrees to gather at Tailem Bend Motorpark before heading off on the dirt for some slipping, sliding & bogging in the sand. We got bogged & had to be towed 3 times which seemed to be the average for most cars. Got into Nhill after dark so no sunset photos. Big day!!

Day 5 Lay day in Adelaide. Time to do washing, clean out car & re-pack. Do some sightseeing & chat with Lorax (one of our many mechanical car wizards) whilst he fixed another broken bash car. Before getting ready for our 50th Anniversary Bash Party.
