Quick late recap of Jamboree Sydney. A wild ride thanks to a wheelie that went a little bad, Cam Riley reacted perfectly and got it straight again albeit in the wrong lane. Then went on to set a pb only 2 passes later!

This car will be on display tomorrow Sunday the 19th at Maitland Steamfest. Come down and say g’day

Few things been happening in the background…
Among those were a bit of a diet, with the original door glass gone in favour of lexan, some lightening of doors in favour of replacing the factory offerings with aluminium door cards.
Few other pieces including some new larger wing end plates to suit the body lines of the car better.

Jamboree recap from Sydney Dragway.
Ivan’s first proper event went very well considering the mid 30’s temp and terrible air conditions.
The 3 qualifiers were spent getting in the groove of things, then started chipping away at improving times.
0.4seconds were shaved off the ET between his first win in rd1, and last race in rd3. Rd2 was a bye run, and rd3 we were up against a much faster car so it was more of a practice/data run than anything.

Kon from WAS- Wollongong Automotive Services working his magic on the laptop, saw all 6 runs for the day get down without wheelspin.

PB’s all day, so fantastic outcome for the little Datsun and everyone involved.
Got a cool car mate. 7’s are just around the corner as the weather cools off!

Big weekend coming up at Sydney Dragway for Jamboree on the 15th of March.
Both of these cars have had some changes since their last outings in December last year, so will be interesting to see results at the track.

Some time ago we had a hand in building this cool project. The On Point Fabrication ‘s VL.
The tried and trusted engine of choice is a 388 cube LS, with a No Prep Performance supplied 98mm G57 turbo.
From there the fabrication began and ended up with all the pipe work mating to the Shaun's Custom Alloy intake manifold, coupled with a plazmaman.com 100mm throttle body and 4” Plazmaclamps, with Turbosmart’s 60mm wastegate and RacePort bov to keep boost under control.
Controlling the whole show is a Haltech Nexus R5 ecu, with a IC7 display.

Looking forward to see and help Matt finish the car and get out on track, especially with the rear end, tubs etc work all done solely by himself.

Recently had Lee’s immaculate LJ Torana back in for some upgrades. This time a new intake pipe and to sort out a solution for a front wheel speed sensor.
Thanks goes to Reliable Race Solutions for their help on the laptop configuring that in.

And on that note, that’s all for the year here. Have got a pair of twin turbo V8 jobs booked in to start the new year off, along with a decent schedule of racing with both POP-202 and EVL-DAT.
