Today we said our final goodbye to Neville. 💙

Anyone who has visited Hughes Mechanical over the years would have likely met Neville. Whether he was helping out as our Saturday morning office man, picking up parts, lending a hand around the workshop, or simply stopping for a chat, Neville was a familiar and much-loved part of our team.

A true jack of all trades, Neville was always willing to help wherever he was needed and was known for his friendly face, sense of humour, and dedication to those around him.

Neville wasn’t just part of Hughes Mechanical…….
he was part of our family, and his presence will be greatly missed by staff, customers, and friends alike.

Today we said our final farewell, but the memories and stories he leaves behind will remain with us forever.

Rest in peace, Neville. ❤️

We’re collecting toiletries, small gifts, and thoughtful items to help make these mums feel appreciated and special.

🚗 Now Hiring: eSafety Check Inspector 🔧
Hughes Mechanical

Hughes Mechanical is looking for a reliable and qualified eSafety Check (Pink Slip) Inspector to join our team. If you take pride in your work, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced workshop environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for carrying out eSafety inspections in line with NSW regulations, ensuring vehicles meet roadworthy standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct eSafety (Pink Slip) inspections
* Accurately complete and lodge inspection reports
* Identify and communicate vehicle faults clearly to customers
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment
* Work collaboratively with the workshop team

About You:

* Current AIS (Authorised Inspection Station) Examiner licence
* Qualified mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of vehicle safety standards and compliance
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, punctual, and a team player
