This is James’ STI — and honestly, this car brings back a lot of memories.
I first met James many years ago while filling up on E85. We both looked over at each other’s cars and said, “Nice car.”
That was it… the nod between two Greeks that somehow turned into a friendship for life. Nearly 10 years later, we’re still mates.
Back when we first met, we had a few runs on the street and this thing was really quick. We eventually got it up on the dyno and it was making around 240–250kw at the wheels, which back then was a seriously strong setup.
After years of driving and enjoying the car, it was finally time to freshen things up and give the STI the attention it deserved.
We pulled the motor down, sleeved the block, fitted new pistons, and went through the whole setup properly to make sure everything was spot on. Once it was all back together, we tuned it on the dyno — and the result was 292kw at the wheels.
The difference was unreal. Super responsive, seriously fast, and still an absolute pleasure to drive.
Seeing James’ reaction after the tune made all the hard work worth it. Cars like this are more than just builds — they carry memories, friendships, and years of history with them.
This one’s special.
