🎉 Happy Birthday, Oscar! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating one of our own — Oscar!

Oscar joined Viking Hotrods as a first-year apprentice mechanic back in 2021, and it’s been fantastic watching him grow from an apprentice into a qualified tradesman and an important part of the team.

These days, Oscar is continuing to build his career as a Car Builder at Viking Hotrods, adding fabrication skills and expanding his knowledge across all areas of the workshop in addition to his mechanical knowledge.

One thing we really appreciate about Oscar is how much he cares about the shop and the team around him. He’s always looking for ways to improve things, checking safety, takes pride in his work, and has a genuine continuous improvement mindset that will take him a long way in this industry.

Thanks for everything you bring to the team, Oscar. We hope you have a fantastic day and look forward to seeing what the next chapter of your career holds.

From the Summernats Grand Champion stage… to its final delivery home. 🏆🔥

Today is a special one for the Viking team as we officially hand over Adam’s F100 after an incredible journey together.

This build pushed every part of the workshop to another level and became far more than just a project — it became a benchmark for what’s possible when vision, trust, craftsmanship and relentless attention to detail all come together.

To Adam — thank you for trusting us with such an important build and allowing us to showcase it one final time at the Hot Rod & Custom Auto Expo before delivery.

Now it’s time for this beast to be enjoyed where it belongs… on the road. 👊

A great way to finish the show 🏆 We’re proud to have taken home a Top 20 trophy and grateful for all the support throughout the event.

But more than anything, we loved meeting so many passionate enthusiasts and hearing the stories, ideas and dreams behind your projects.

To everyone who stopped by and expressed interest in having Viking Hotrods help steer their next build — thank you. We’re looking forward to reconnecting and continuing those conversations as we plan projects for 2027 and beyond.

And a special thank you to Adam for allowing us to bring the F100 out for one final showing before handover. It was pretty special to share this chapter one last time before this incredible build heads home.

Final details, final prep and a lot of excitement as we get ready to showcase something special.

This one’s a special moment for us — this will be the final public showing of the F100 by Viking Hotrods before it heads home to its owner, Adam, straight after the show.

It’s been an incredible journey bringing this truck to life and we’re excited to share it one last time before handover.

This Saturday at Rosehill, the 2026 Summernats Grand Champion makes its FINAL public appearance with Viking Hotrods before returning home to its owner.

Nearly 5000 hours.
Thousands of handcrafted details.
One goal — build something unforgettable.

Now you get the chance to see this beast in the flesh.

From the body and fabrication work to the paint, engineering and finishing details, this build pushed our team to another level — and photos simply don’t capture the scale and detail of this truck.

The Grand Champion will be displayed on the PPG stand, with Greg from Viking Hotrods there throughout the day to talk all things custom cars, craftsmanship, challenges and what really goes into building a car at this level.

Join the team behind the 2026 Summernats Grand Champion.

Viking Hotrods is looking for an experienced Automotive Painter / Spray Painter to join our growing workshop in Bomaderry on the NSW South Coast.

This is not production line work.

You’ll be working on everything from high-end custom builds and classic restorations to muscle cars, show vehicles and nationally recognised projects — alongside another highly experienced painter in one of Australia’s leading custom car workshops.

✔ Full-time position
✔ Excellent rates
✔ Large modern workshop
✔ All trades under one roof
✔ Interesting and varied work
✔ Relocation assistance considered for the right applicant

Experience with dry sanding, high-end finishing, water-based systems, panel alignment or custom/restoration work is highly regarded.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about quality, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a strong team culture.
