Another one chalked up for a win..
I tuned mitches ute early last year some time after he built it.. late last year he was saying it had a bad miss and wasnt really drivable and asked if there may have been a bug in the tune.. I told him the tunes dont really change themselves but not to rule anything out I got him to bring it down and went over it all the same.. there was a minor bug in there but not causing his issue
I discovered it had a bad coil or trigger issue still using the stock distributor on the car so I suggested we fitted an au trigger system and some ls coils, he took it away at 380hp and misbehaving.
He hit me up around new years wanting to get it sorted so I gave him my next available time slot and he dropped it off to me this Tuesday. I then spent all Tuesday and some of today wiring up his ls coils au crank trigger and modifying the dizzy to a signal the haltech wants. I then found as I was in the middle of re-tuning it the injectors were maxing out at 10psi, so might as well stick another set in it while its on the dyno, mitch was happy to do so so I got to work swapping them over and then going back over the tune again with the new Injectors..
Haltech elite 750 calling the shots
2000cc bosh injectors
Stock intech with some form of aftermarket camshaft.
6 boost manifold
No name 3585 turbo
Stock 5 speed (soon to be a box of neutrals i fear)
E85
6 x ls coils
It made a best of 547hp at 15psi of air from the no name turbo a significant improvement over the last setup and no more bug!
Keen to see how it goes and how long the trans will last in it 😊😅
