Today we said goodbye to one of our longest-standing residents — the caravan and annex from Site 51 on Prospectors Road has officially left the park.

It took a crane, a low loader, and a great crew from Oz Cranes to get this old girl up and out after all these years!

There's something a little emotional about watching a van that's been part of the park for so long roll out the gates for the last time.

Thanks to everyone who's watched (and helped) with today's big move

Onwards to the next chapter for Site 51!

The Easter Bunny made a very special arrival riding on the back of a fire truck! 🚒🐰🥚

Spreading smiles, handing out Easter eggs, and bringing a little extra joy to the community, it was a sight to remember. A huge thank you to the amazing Huntly Fire Brigade for another fantastic Good Friday Appeal appearance.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter! 💛

Violet has officially arrived at the Rosalind Park Piazza!

To celebrate the Bendigo Easter Fair Society’s 100-year anniversary, Violet, the six-metre fibreglass Kewpie doll, is making her first appearance at the Bendigo Easter Festival since 2002.

The Bendigo Easter Fair Society began in 1926 as a volunteer-led organisation to oversee the Bendigo Easter Festival. The City took over operations in 2003 and the Society continues to play an important advisory role.

Violet herself has quite the story:

• She’s one of twelve giant Kewpie dolls created for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony
• The Bendigo Easter Fair Society acquired the Kewpie Doll at the Remains of the Games auction in 2000, and Violet was chosen in honour of long-serving volunteer Violee Myers-Davey OAM, who dedicated around 80 years to the Bendigo Easter Fair Society
• She then made her first appearance at the 131st Bendigo Easter Fair and again in the 2001 and 2002 parades

Now, for the 100-year celebration, you can see Violet on display at the Rosalind Park Piazza from April 3 to 6.

Other special attractions to celebrate the 100-year anniversary include:

• A multimedia exhibition at the Living Arts Space
• A performance by Wadaiko Rindo Japanese Drummers
• A Queen Rhapsody tribute concert in Rosalind Park

🎄🧝‍♂️Elf Update – Day 16 🎄🧝‍♂️

Our cheeky little elf took today’s assignment very seriously!
When asked to help make some new solar unit numbers, he jumped right in and came up with these creative ideas for our Holiday Cubes. Not too bad for a tiny helper with a big imagination! 😄✨

🎄🧝‍♂️ Elf Update day 15 🧝‍♂️🎄
The elf decided to help clean the toilet block 🧼🚽

Armed with enthusiasm (and very little common sense), he gave it a “once over”…
✨ Sparkles? Maybe
✨ Fresh smell? Debatable
✨ Confidence? Absolutely unmatched

The toilet block is cleaner… probably.
The elf is very proud of himself.

Remember — it’s the thought that counts 😇

🎄🎄Elf update day 14 🎄🎄

Looks like our two cheeky elves decided Elf Twister was the perfect way to “stretch” before Christmas 🎄😂

Because it’s Sunday rules:
☕ Work can wait
🎄 Mischief is mandatory
😇 “We’ll fix it before Monday”… probably
Happy Sunday — if anything’s gone missing, the elves did it 😜

🎄😂 ✨🎄 ELF UPDATE! Day 13🎄✨

Woke up to strange noises from the office… 🖨️🍑

Turns out the elves have discovered the photocopier and are mass-producing elf bum copies like it’s a limited edition print run.
One supervising, one pressing buttons, zero shame involved.

If today’s receipts include an unexpected elf bum watermark
today…
Please direct all complaints to Santa’s HR department. 🎄😅

🎄😂 ✨🎄 ELF UPDATE! Day 12🎄✨

Busted at the resident Christmas lunch!

These two mischievous elves were supposed to be helping set the table… instead we caught them having an all-out showdown over the Christmas crackers!

I’m not saying they take festive competition seriously, but judging by the look on their faces, someone’s definitely trying to win bragging rights (and maybe the tiny toy inside).

Keep an eye on them — at this rate they’ll have eaten the pudding and reorganised the drinks fridge before dessert is served! 😜✨🎅🏼
