Had a customer come in with their Subaru Forester loosing coolant and an oil leak a few weeks back. Found that the head gasket had failed and was leaking both fluids.

Got the customer booked in, pulled the engine out. Replaced the head gaskets and fitted a full engine gasket kit to replace all those of old crusty gaskets from nearly 20 years of life.

Fitted the engine back in within the same day and she's as good as new!

Been a while since I've posted a job I've had in the workshop but couldn't let this one slide.

Had this gorgeous Lexus RCF in with a noisy alternator. Instead of fitting a brand new $2000+ alternator, I disassembled the alternator and fitted some new bearings.

As you can see in the second photo, the bearing inside was very crunchy looking. After fitting some new bearings, this beast was only noisy in the right kind of ways 👌

First job of the new year!

Had this customer come in for a service and noted a "groaning" noise from the back of the car.

Got stuck in and found that the LHR wheel bearing had failed.
Grabbed a new bearing, pressed the old one out and the new one in and it was like brand new again! 👌

Had an unbelievably busy December and never got around to posting one of the bigger jobs from the month!

Had this Triton in making some squealing noises and leaking a lot of oil.

Came to the diagnosis that the thrust bearing for the clutch had failed, so put came the gearbox and in went a new clutch kit.

The oil leak was coming from a simple O-ring in the back of the head that had turned solid and became brittle from the year of work this Triton has put in. A new O-ring and no more leaks.

After a bit of a break due to moving workshops, we're back in action!

Over there weekend we had this Yaris come in that hasn't seen any love in a while.

This car is a great example as to why you need to keep on top of services as the spark plugs and cabin filter were NASTY! 🤢

Had a customer come to us wanting to get some upgraded springs in the front end of this chunky ranger.

We're back after some major technical issues with Instagram not letting us post pictures without glitching.

We had this customer come to us complaining of a squealing noise in the engine bay. Found the drive belts on their absolute last legs! Luckily this was caught before they snapped and caused major damage! While we were there they requested a coolant flush and they were on their way again!
