Lake Liddell Speedbowl Double header weekend, Challenging both disciplines in Winged and Non Wing Microsprints is run an Won by Jett Hart in his TJ Race Chassis Jettco Developments powered V98

The Friday night was a winged event, Jett time trialed 4th overall unfortunately with no brakes which was a little hairy but we fixed quickly to have him start seventh in heat one and drive-through to 3rd, heat two started on the outside row on two got the start to take the lead and the win. This put him Highpoint for the pole shuffle where Jack Nolan got the jump at the start and Jett finished 2nd.
A main rolled around and in the same fashion as the pole shuffle Jett got the jump on the outside row and over 25 laps a number of yellows lots of lap cars he didn’t put a foot wrong with up to half a lap lead at one stage took an Awesome First win.

Night two /Rnd 3 of the Taylor's Outdoor Power Equipment POWRi Racing AustraliaTrack Chsmpionship

Jett drew a high pill No and started 8 in his first heat and made his way to 3, heat two started on pole and took a nice win to put him 3rd on points but the twist was a top 8 Dash and an ordinary pill draw put him out of 8th. Not to be put off as he usually like s to do things the hard way he was massively up on the wheel chopping his way to 3rd to start the A main
A 30 lap Final again and Jett made his way into 2nd in the opening laps then chased down Glenn Phillpot to spend half the race side by side and swapping spots to gain the lead and pull some ground in lap traffic, whilst a few yellows slowed things Matt Smith was working his way through the field and chased Jett hard showing his nose at one stage but Jett held a blistering pace making the right decisions in lap traffic with Matt chasing hard to follow and take a second Win 🏁

Heading to Heartland Raceway in Moama NSW to contend in Round 1 of the SRA Series with the program kicking off at 4.30pm.

Mildura All Powers weekend/day What a busy day we had with Jett and Cook in mods Lex in jnr and myself in the Std all in the morning session. Then Lex in jnr std and Jett and Cook running the AllPower event also.
The normal 2 day event was crammed into 1 and it went off reasonably well but was so quick was hard to take time to watch make changes and enjoy.

Alex had a good go in her jnr class making some good passing moves and starting the final from p7 getting up at one stage to 4th but a final spot in 6th. Her Jnr std event didn’t start brilliantly she had a front row seat to a friend Lillie taking a rough tumble and was a bit tentative for the afternoon, ( Lillie pulled up ok and continued like a trooper in the remaining heats )

I had a reasonable start with a 2nd and third in first two heats but struggled with the kart scraping at the front then h3 the floor pan tore out turned itself inside out as o with no time to fix I sat out the final.

Jett had a fair run in the mods moving forward in a couple heats and out of 7 in the final he drove upto 3rd till a clump of clay broke his fuel filter and left him infield but 4th overall.
His AllPowers campaign was good showing some good pace as a late entry picking off atleast 3 in ea heat from the rear he started the 25 lap main event from 12 of 19 karts and again drove upto 4th but his race ended a bit past half way.

Cook also in mods struggled a bit for most the day unfortunately battling a cold wasn’t 100% but came home in 3rd. He took the challenge to run AllPowers and finished all heats starting from 7th getting up as far as 5th late in the race but finishing 6th. An extremely fast paced day to complete our Dirt kart season.

Victorian Title at Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway

A 34 car field entered for the 500 Vic Title and being our first we were looking to qualify for the big show and that we did.

Jett drew a mid pack number this putting him off 7 in the first heat and with the inside row a little slower he entered turn one in 9th and on a real grippy track passing was tough but the car was good and he got back to 7.

Heat 2 he started p4 and took advantage of the quicker outer row to hit 2nd coming out of turn 2 the car again was quick but dropped one spot to Brock Rae to finish 3rd in his second 10 lap qualifying heat with a couple real quick cars chasing hard.

Missing the A feature straight in by1 spot Jett was off pole for the B main and again the inner line a challenge he entered turn one fighting for second but in avoiding the car in front he half spun to come off turn 2 in 13th, he probably drove the race of his 500 career to date to get back to the last transfer spot in 6th.

A main time and some adjustments with a bit of a prediction to the track changing he wanted the car a bit tighter which we did but unfortunate for us the track stayed hooky and we didn’t advance but came home with a straight car in 17th.

It’s been a hell of a ride so far this season to run plenty of events finishing 95% (unlike last yr in Juniors) of them and gaining some confidence and knowledge we’re loving the time spent.
